Update: Sep 18, 2024 @ 11:31am

Version 1.5.1.3 has been published to Stable tModLoader v2024.7
- Fixed Makeshift Rockets being unobtainable; they are now sold post-EoC by the Demolitionist
- Removed Arsenal's recipes for Rocket I & II, which were a relic of when they were tier-shifted to pre-hardmode.
- Nerfed Lihzahrd Spear and Gigazapper (Before they were too close in power to the post-LC Drankanian)

4 new weapons that aren't meant to be out yet, hooray for you I guess :D
(Fixing Makeshift Rockets was a critical issue so now you get these since I couldn't just wait until I finished 1.5.2 to patch that).
- 2 new Shortswords; Cogblade and the Rapier
- 2 new Spears; Thousandfold Cutter and Soul Striker (Which is accidentally using Granite Glaive's recipe...)

Update: Sep 17, 2024 @ 10:11am

Version 1.5.1.2 has been published to Stable tModLoader v2024.7

- Tweaked balancing of Fungi Flail and Enchanted Shortsword
- Jungle Staff and Little Snatcher are no longer crafted, and are instead obtained from Ivy Chests in the Underground Jungle (Or from Jungle/Bramble Crates).
- Moonrazer and Moon Fist are no longer dropped by the Moon Lord and are instead weapon upgrades crafted from Luminite Bars.
- Arsenal Moon Lord drops of the same damage class can now be shimmered into each other (Ex: Astral Harmony and Eldritch Gate shimmer into each other).
- Slightly increased the crafting cost of all Arsenal weapons that use Luminite Bars (10 -> 12).

Update: Sep 13, 2024 @ 11:29am

Version 1.5.1.1 has been published to Stable tModLoader v2024.7

- Corrected Femur Breaker's outdated tooltip

- Added dust FX to Terrasama

- Demoman Pack and Nuclear Pack now grant DR against self-inflicted damage from explosives.
- In light of the above change, Tsar's recoil damage reduction has been nerfed to 50% (Was 75%)
- Gave Bunzooka 75% recoil damage reduction. This doesn't impact its explosive bunnies, which still can and will kill you.

- Tweaked the Jungle Creeper Staff; slightly nerfed its damage, but its minions can now fire venom spit projectiles at targets while out of melee range.

- Overhauled Antimatter and gave it a charging mechanic. This makes it slower overall, but it can gain up to a whopping x6 damage at full charge! Antimatter bullets are now guaranteed at full charge, but won't occur randomly and no longer have an associated damage boost.
- Also gave Stormdiver a similar charging mechanic, though it will no longer convert bullets to Luminite. Its base damage is a little lower and it only gains up to x2.5 damage, but it charges much faster than Antimatter. Additionally, charging will greatly improve Stormdiver's accuracy.

Version 1.5.1 has been published to Stable tModLoader v2024.7

Refurbished a large amount of content! Many weapon's sprites/visuals, balancing, and/or mechanics have been updated.

This can be considered the first part of Arsenal's final major update; the latter half will introduce the final 100ish weapons planned for the mod.
The second half may also follow up on this update, making further adjustments to content changed here, or polishing other weapons that were not affected by this update.

Significant changes:
This will mostly list changes/reworks to weapon mechanics/stats. Updated sprites/visuals and less complex/substantial tweaks are not listed, for brevity (and because of text limits).

Accessories: N/A (Just visual changes and balancing adjustments)

Battlestaves: Buffed damage

Boomerangs:

  • Cosmicutter's ability to spin in place is now controlled by the attack button; holding it will cause thrown cutters to charge before returning, and releasing it will force all stopped cutters to return.

Bows:
  • Changed how Mechanized Bow's ramping attack speed is handled. It should now ramp up more gradually and reliably.
  • Plasmcaster's vortexes linger for longer, but use Static immunity frames (Meaning multiple vortexes can't hit at the same time).
  • Overhauled Omega; replaced its primary attack with three super high velocity energy arrows. The center arrow can spawn extra bows on impact. Bow clones appear from above and fire extra energy arrows down unto the target area. This effect replaces the original arrow storm attack.

Dart Weapons: N/A (Just visual changes and balancing adjustments)

Flails:
  • Changes how Moon Fist produces its Phantasmal Eye projectiles; they will now be released when the fist begins retracting. Eyes will not be produced if the first retracts extremely early.

Flamethrowers:
  • The flames of Jungle's Bane can now stick to and linger on tiles for a short time.
  • Lihzahrd Flame Gun now inflicts Daybroken for a short time, as opposed to Hellfire for a long time.
  • Added two custom flame debuffs; Bloodburn and Lunar Flames. The former is now used by Bloodboil, and the latter is now used by the Distortion Afterburner. Moonrazer can now inflict these debuffs as well.
  • Waterflame is no longer crafted, and is instead obtained from the Dungeon's gold chests (As well as Golden Lock Boxes).
  • Reworked Hellfire into Hades's Inferno, which inflicts Shadowflame instead of Hellfire. It is no longer crafted, and instead obtained form Shadow Chests (As well as Obsidian Lock Boxes).

Guns: N/A (Just visual changes and balancing adjustments)

Launchers:
  • Introduced custom ammo types for pre-Hardmode and pre-Plantera tier launchers. Now that custom ammo exists, Rocket I & II are no longer tier-shifted by Arsenal.
  • Bone Blasta is no longer crafted, and is instead obtained from the Dungeon's gold chests (As well as Golden Lock Boxes).
  • Bunzooka now fires normal rockets instead of special rockets. It can still rarely fire an explosive bunny, which now fires alongside the expected projectile instead of replacing it.
  • Substantially reduced Tsar's blast radius and recoil damage, making it less prone to killing its user. Its gradual damage boost effect now scales up to x3 and only affects enemies. Removed its bonus 'synergy' with Mini Nukes.

Magic Guns:
  • Solar Beam and Deathray now have a telegraph beam while charging. Solar Beam no longer shoots through tiles.
  • Shockgun now fires lightning arcs that travel near-instantaneously.

Summons: N/A (Just visual changes and balancing adjustments)

Sentries:
  • All grounded sentries are now affected by gravity, and will no longer hover mid-air if the tiles they were spawned are removed.
  • The Caster staff is no longer dropped by Dark Casters, and is instead obtained from the Dungeon's gold chests (As well as Golden Lock Boxes). Slightly nerfed its damage, but granted the Caster sentry the ability to occasionally teleport near its owner if left off-screen for a while.
  • The Soul Staff's 3 energy beam types now use unique targeting logic. For example, the green/sight beam will prioritize enemies closest to the player.
  • The Tesla Wrench's sentry now fires electrical arcs that instantly strike their targets. Its range has been reduced and it no longer pierces, but it can attack all enemies in-range simultaneously and independently of one another.

Shortswords:
  • Introduced reach-boosting shockwaves similar to those used by various vanilla Spears (Ex: Dark Lance, Gungnir). Many, but not all of Arsenal's shortswords now have these.
  • The RG-24 can no longer consume and fire bullets. Instead, it can fire unique energy bullets without using ammo. These bullets have high velocity and can pierce once.

Spears:
  • The Granite Glaive and Shadow Spear reach-boosting shockwaves
  • The chain of explosions produced by the Drankanian are a bit smaller, but the spear will now fire three of these chains at once, in a spread.
  • The Femur Breaker's on-hit effect now flings out bone shrapnel that briefly lingers on the ground, instead of Bone Glove crossbones. (Disregard the outdated tooltip!)
  • The Halberd of the Heavens now swings in a slightly wider arc, and produces 5 spearheads instead of 3. The spearheads' homing code has been adjusted, as well.

Staves:
  • Reworked Final Fractal: Its attack now much more closely resembles the First Fractal's. There are no more messy on-hit projectiles. Less OP overall, but has strong single-target DPS compared to its counterparts.

Swords:
  • Significantly buffed most true melee swords (Corsarieal, Sabrewing, Blade of Beetles).

Tomes:
  • Burning Sphere no longer explodes on-hit, but gains piercing.
  • Lost Tome now fires both projectile types at once, both of each have been buffed mechanically.
  • Improved Razor Leaf's firerate and granted it weak homing.

Whips:
  • Reworked Embering Scrouge into Hellbinder, whose tag effect can chain enemies together. Chained enemies will spread damage taken from summons amongst eachother. Now obtained from Shadow Chests (Or Obsidian Lock Boxes) instead of being crafted.
  • Summit now inflicts a single, powerful tag and grants attack speed on-hit. The range of its extra whips is now consistent, and its on-hit summon has been greatly improved.

Yoyos:
  • Reworked Fireball into Eighth Circle, which inflicts Shadowflame instead of Hellfire. Now obtained from Shadow Chests (Or Obsidian Lock Boxes) instead of being crafted.

Misc:
  • Reworked and buffed Terrasama to use a much cooler slashing effect with significantly improved reach.
  • Gave glowmasks to a large amount of projectiles and items (Only affects item's dropped form)
