V3.2 - The next big version is now released! (has been in development for the past 2 weeks)

  • Significant improvements to AI internal strategy and government management
  • Significant improvements to AI religious strategy
  • Made the middle diplomacy starting offset option the game setup default (and renamed them accordingly)
  • Culture victory strategy improvements
  • More further individual leader improvements
  • Improvements to all strategies
  • AI diplomatic victory improvements
  • AI will now have a higher preference for metal casting and refining techs to gain access to these key strategic resources more quickly, especially on higher speeds
  • Further AI wonder building / key key infrastructure improvements
  • Improved Deity++ Support
  • Many Diplomacy improvements (and hopefully trade deals as well)

  • Adding a starting diplomatic game setup option, so you can reduce the starting diplomatic penalty if you choose to do so.
    (The starting player diplomatic penalty increases per difficulty level above prince, so this is very useful for difficulties above deity) (The starting penalty is random per leader you meet and decays over time)

Includes:

  • Further leader strategy improvements (and some further improvements to specific AI settling e.g the Mayans)
  • Further late game / info / future era strategy / victory consistency improvements
  • Culture victory slight improvements
  • Improvements to the AI's use of happiness and amenities, especially in the late game
  • Improvements to the AI's use of housing, some AI's in particular like Yongle and the Inca are much better at growing big cities
  • The AI now makes better use of governments
  • AI gold use improvements, if certain conditions are met the AI will be more likely to use their gold to buy great people in the late game
  • AI late game bombing tweaks
  • AI is far better with city states
  • Siege unit use improvements to improve the AIs ability to capture heavily reinforced cities

Behaviour and Strategy changes

  • The AI is now even more aggressive against and will carry out more operations against barbs in the early eras.

  • AI will likely build Kilwa and a few other wonders quite a bit quicker than before (Mausoleum is one of the only wonders left that appears to be slightly bugged, AI will build it now because of a very strong preference but normally quite late)
  • Support for Deity ++ Extra Starting Units (military units are no longer deleted)
  • Improved AI naval ability to take cities with smaller naval forces.
  • Many Improvements to AI settlement, particularly forward settling in the earlier eras and settling important strategic resources throughout the game, especially in the Atomic and Information Era for example. Many additions and improvements to individual leader settling preferences
  • AI will temporarily build far less settlers in the early game if under threat by another player.
  • Small tweaks to AI prioritisation of improving strategic resources and other map improvements.
  • Lower preference for diplomatic favour and the carbon recapture project in the very late game, unless pursuing a diplomatic victory
  • New strategies to help the AI defend when in danger / at war.
  • Hopefully quite a bit higher preference for walls, especially on border cities and on higher difficulties where the AI has a bit more production.
  • Fixed Bug with Late Game AI Compatibility that starting occurring yesterday midday.
  • Many more small tweaks and changes!

Many Improvements including:

Early AI settler unit prioritisation and potential forward settling
Many AI's now have an expansionist trait or for a few (e.g. Trajan) my Mad expansionist trait meaning they will have a focus on building settlers, units to protect them, early city plot scouting, forward settling and then fortifying these cities
Significant Improvements to AI behaviour to almost all random agendas like expansionist, pillager and nuke happy ;) to give each random trait a lot more personality
Further individual leader preference improvements and refinements to better play to each leaders bonus' (e.g Babylon, Victoria, Sundra Keita)
Quite a bit higher preference for great scientists and engineers for civs approaching science victory
Much improved speed of AI science victory
Better wonder prioritisation for each strategy
Diplomacy tweaks, especially when a player is about to win
Further diplomatic victory improvements (techs, stronger preferences for certain wonders, buildings, civics)
Lots of other smaller improvements and changes
