Mod Update Changelog ? UE5 Transition

With the release of Squad?s UE5 engine update, this patch focuses on getting the mod stable again under the new systems. A lot had to be rebuilt from scratch, so expect some rough edges ? this is primarily a bug testing update.

Maps & Lighting

All layers (maps/modes) were rebuilt from scratch due to engine changes.

Lighting layers updated ? visuals and atmosphere should feel fresh.

Objectives reworked ? expect some layout changes and new gameplay flow.

Vehicle tickets are back on (restored to baseline).

Vehicles & Factions

Temporary rollback: all modded factions now use vanilla vehicle sets (USA / Russia / Insurgents).

Custom vehicles will be re-implemented in future updates once fixed.

Materials & Textures

MEA faction is still called GE_MEA, but its assets were renamed to GFI in the editor.

Some materials and skins were renamed during the transition.

Known issue: some players may appear with invisible textures ? should be fixed, but please report if you encounter it.

Audio & Suppressors
UE5 sound system changes required suppressor sounds to be reworked.

Suppressors may sound different than before.

VOIP / Gamemodes

Enemy VOIP disabled by default (gamemodes reset for easier modding).

For full VOIP functionality, please use Stepan?s VOIP mod alongside this one.

Extra Bug Fixes

Fixed FSA faction model animations.

Fixed Ace Van window textures.

Deployables & Environment

Test Fort deployable: fixed camouflage netting and added woodland variant

All bunker deployables: netting fixed (previously one-sided concrete material)

Insurgents: HAB count reverted to 2 per FOB

Russian SOF deployables: reverted to custom mod layout

Vehicles

Loach helicopter no longer requires pilot role

UAZ seating position fixed (previously clipped through vehicle floor)

RGF Logi truck instant respawn issue fixed

Shilka AA vehicle: armour collision possibly fixed

Kits & Weapon Fixes

Adjusted Ukraine HAT kits

Adjusted USMC HAT kit

Fixed several weapons that couldn?t rearm

Map Layers

Added Loach Heli seeding layers for Talil and Gorodok

Weapon lowering feature enabled temporarily due to reported issues with animations and grenade throwing
