- With urban planning, architects can improve urban centers.
- Architects can have these different styles as character traits: traditional, historicist, bauhaus, neoclassical, art deco.
- Like Bauhaus before, Neoclassical and Art Deco schools are available. This is a requirement for end game architecture.
- Neoclassical and Bauhaus Capitals are now possible like Art Deco as an "end game" architecture style for your capital/country. However, Art Deco takes longer and is more valuable.

Architectural Blueprints:
- Architects can develop up to fifteen different blueprints for specific buildings.
- Special blueprint buildings can be built once.
- Blueprint buildings are divided into five categories. However, only one building from each category can be located in each state. For example, City Park, Luna Park, and Parade Ground all belong to the "Public Square" category. If a City Park already exists in the state, then Luna Park cannot also be located there.
- Blueprint buildings have various requirements. They must first be designed by an architect. This often requires prior technology. Certain laws may also be required (no Alsmhouse without basic social security).
- Due to the time required for research and the limitations of categories, it is wise to consider beforehand which blueprint research to invest in.

Monuments:
- Great Architects can research an unique Costum Monument Blueprint (An Architect's Masterpiece).
- Costum Monument Blueprint depend on the architectural style of a Great Architect. Bauhaus Archichtets will design the People's Forum, Art Deco Architects the People's Monument, Neoclassical Architects the People's Palace.
- Only one Custom Monument allowed per game.

- Architects, not engineers, give a bonus when building monuments.
