Notes:
Version 1 made the game significantly easier since it made the breadbasket strategy produce much more koku than a vanilla strategy, up to twice as much in the long run! This meant that after the first 20-40 turns, all difficulty which came from economy was eliminated in version 1 with a breadbasket/low tax strategy. Also, the version 1 tax rates were a bit too close together, so that it didn't feel impactful to alter the tax slider- and in fact it wasn't very impactful at all in the short term.

Version 2.3 has more spread out tax rates so that changing the slider is more impactful in the short term. Also, Minimal tax rate now goes as low as 15% (almost vanilla of 10%), vs the floor of 30% in version 1. This means that although Minimal still can pay off in the long run in a breadbasket strategy, you are doing so at a significant short-term koku disadvantage.

Overall, version 2.3 will generate slightly less koku than vanilla when playing with the optimal strategy for whatever economic situation you are, though it is very comparable in terms of generated koku. So unlike in version 1 which made the game much easier than vanilla, version 2.3 will make the game slightly harder than vanilla and force you to actually manage your tax rates appropriately according to your economic situation and long term strategy.
