Hot Fix
Fixed error when interacting with water containers in Build 42 after the latest game update.
They changed the code for checking the amount of water available, thus this part of the mod was broken.

About being unable to Pry Open in certain Directions
So as it turns out, B42 no longer uses the same system to fetch semi or fully transparent doors and garages when the Player clicks on them as it did in B41. To counteract this, I am now looking for nearby doors and garages when a Player right clicks somewhere, to look for these objects.

The thing is, it worked before. You just had to click the square the door / garage was in, since the system was changed. Now it works just like it does in B41, so pry away!

Bug Fixes
The following issues have been addressed:
  • Fixed Players unable to pry open Reinforced Doors in B41.
  • Fixed Russian Translation in B42 (For real this time. They changed the encoding type AAAAAAAA).

Mod Not Working?
Do you run a dedicated multiplayer server? Do you NOT have the proper setup in order to handle mods updating? Then your server is probably going to temporarily break when this mod updates! Thanks, Project Zomboid!

Now, is this the Mod's fault? No. Is it My fault? No. Can I do anything about it? No.
So stop bothering me in the comments about it. Just wait a little, or unsubscribe and resubscribe, or refresh the server. Or get it properly setup. The problem SOLVES ITSELF VERY QUICKLY. Don't rant to me, I literally cannot do anything about it.

Expanded Sandbox Options!
It is now possible to fully customize the gameplay feature of prying open stuff with crowbars by toggling whether Players are able to pry open regular doors, reinforced doors, vehicle doors, windows, etc. Separately!
Thanks to Rokko for commissioning this content update!

Bug Fixes
The following issues have been addressed:
  • Improved the way the Collecting feature works with B42.
  • Fixed Stones not being added when Collecting them in B42.
  • Fixed Russian Translation in B42.

Hotfix 3.3.1: (Fixed?) issue with error when equipping firearms while GunStats was enabled. Could not reproduce it on my end no matter how hard I tried so let's hope it works out. Also added more exclusions so that this feature disables itself in case mods like Arsenal Gunfighter, etc. are enabled since they add their own version.

Build 42 Support!
The Mod is now fully compatible with the new Build 42. I have written all the changes in a Discussion I have created. The changes are also linked in the Mod description page and can be found as a summary below for your convenience!
Obs: More features will be coming soon, of course.

New Features
These have been added to improve the Quality of Life of the new build:
  • Prying open Doors, Windows and Vehicles with Crowbars.
  • Gun Ammo Counter on the Top Left of the screen.
  • Collecting Garbage, Materials, etc. off the ground.
  • Attaching hand Flashlights to the toolbelt.
  • Making Sheets with improvised materials.
  • Using Alcohol to sanitize Dirty Bandages.
  • Repairing various weapons and tools.

Removed Features
These have been made significantly redundant by the new build and as such have been removed. Keep in mind they are still active for Build 41:
  • Part Condition Indicators on Vehicle Dashboard.
  • Opening cans with improvised tools.
  • Ripping clothing with improvised tools.
  • Pouring sacks and cans out.
  • Pie Slices give Unhappiness Bonus.
  • Opening Jars gives back Jar and Jar lid.

Can Opening Overhaul
There is now a new Sandbox Option (Enabled by Default) that determines whether a Player can potentially hurt themselves and fail when opening canned items.
It is possible to disable this feature entirely, and also tweak the severity of the wound caused when it happens.

The mechanic listed above ONLY applies to improvised tools, meaning it doesn't happen when using the conventional can opener.

Prying Mechanic Update
There is now a new Sandbox Option (Enabled by Default) that determines whether a Player can potentially smash a vehicle's door window open when they fail at prying the door open.

This new mechanic gives Players a chance to open a vehicle door even after a failed prying attempt, at the cost of having the door window shattered, which brings many disadvantages.

Prying Mechanic Update
When a Player interacts with a a locked window or door, even if the Player cannot pry them open, the option to attempt will now still appear. However, it will be colored red and disabled.

There will also be tooltips indicating whether you can pry open the object or not, and what are the consequences of it.

Equip Ground Items
You can now immediately equip items from off the ground using the context menu, without having to pick them up first or use the inventory window. Because that's just... Common Sense!

Sandbox Options Overhaul
The mod has just become much more customizable thanks to these new options:
  • You can now customize the minimum level required to pry open reinforced doors.
  • You can now customize the chance to break the glass of a window when trying to pry it open.
  • Added tooltips to the Sandbox Options that were missing them.

Version 3.0.0

Improved Mod Compatibility
The mod no longer overrides the items for all pies slices, the bath towel, the dish cloth, and the flashlight. Instead, it merely adds the custom properties needed to them. This should make the mod more compatible with other mods that modify the same items.

Empty Cans
You can now right click any opened food can to empty it at will.
This works with both Vanilla AND Modded cans, so long as they are replaced by empty cans when consumed.

New Watch Spawn
The Vanilla game only spawns watches in zombie corpses. This update adds the contents of my "Bedroom Watches" mod to Common Sense. Thus, watches will now spawn in bedrooms too, because nobody is going to wear a watch 24/7!

Simplified Chinese Support
The mod is now fully translated into Simplified Chinese (CN)!
