B41 + B42: This update contains separate versions of the mod for B42.12.X and below (AM 42.19.0), and B42.13 and above (AM 42.20.0). The B42.13 version of the mod is a /!\ WiP /!\ Not everything is working right now, but it's updated to the point where it shouldn't cause major errors. If you want to continue playing your pre B42.13 single player worlds, you can select the 'legacy_42_12 - 42.12X' version under 'Betas' in the Steam settings for Project Zomboid. This update also contains new calibre definitions for B41 + B42, and additional mod support for B41 (updates that were in the works before the B42.13 release):

  • Ammo definitions for additional calibres B41 + B42:
    • .338 Lapua Magnum (aka. 8.6x70mm or 8.58×70mm) - 1989
    • 12.7x55mm (aka. STs-130 or PS-12) - 2002
  • Mod support B41:
    • VFE Rebalance (Increased Durability) [VFE]
    • VFE STALKER PACK Complete edition (Increased Durability) [VFE]
    Since Ammo Maker is using many custom lua functions, it will take a while to update everything for B42.13. In the meantime: Please be patient and check out the Ammo Maker discord server for the latest news, or if you want to report bugs related to B42.13 (AM 42.20.0). We really appreciate it!

B41 + B42: Sound effects and optimisations:

  • New sound effects for recipes:
    • B41: 'Make Ammo', 'Recycle Ammo' and 'Weigh Gunpowder'
    • B42: 'Make Ammo', 'Produce Ammo', 'Disassemble Ammo', 'Polish Casing' and 'Weigh Gunpowder'
  • Optimisations B42:
    • Dropping casings on ground if player inventory is overloaded when firing or reloading guns, independent of brass catchers
    • Molds no longer appear in player inventory while being placed in the world, after running 'Make Mold Bullets' or 'Make Bullets' recipes
    • Brass catcher container buttons now immediately appear in player inventory after crafting

B42: Packaging for ammo parts and tweaks:

  • Boxes and bags for ammo parts:
    • Two new recipes to pack and unpack 25 ammo parts of all types
    • 20 new box items for ammo parts of all types (bullets, casings, shots, slugs and hulls)
    • 12 new bag items for old and fired ammo parts of all types (casings and hulls)
    • Updated item distribution to spawn boxes and bags instead of individual ammo parts in certain locations
  • Shotgun shots as drainable item:
    • New 'Balls 00' drainable item with 100 uses (use delta 0.01), to reduce item count in inventories
    • Temporary recipe to convert 1 'Ball 00' item, into 1 'Balls 00' drainable with 1 use (0.01)
    • Temporary recipe to convert 100 'Ball 00' items, into 1 'Balls 00' drainable with 100 uses (full)
    • Marked 'Ball 00' item as obsolete, with update notice in item tooltip
    • Related updates on 'Make Balls 00', 'Make Mold Bullets' and 'Disassemble Ammo' recipes
  • Bugfixes and Tweaks:
    • 'Make Mold Bullets': Mold now also stays on floor and gets replaced after preparation, if recipe was selected via item right-click menu (world inventory)
    • 'Recycle Plastic': Additional recipe ingredients: Base.Bleach; Base.Hat_DustMask; Base.MarkerBlack; Base.MarkerBlue; Base.MarkerGreen; Base.MarkerRed
    • 'Make Filter Paper': Additional recipe ingredients: Base.StockCertificate

  • Checking inventories within player inventory (e.g. bags) for compatible ammo on reloading revolvers and breech loading firearms, to also return casings if ammo isn't stored in the main player inventory
  • Fix for brass catcher container buttons appearing twice when using the 'reorder containers' mod and ability to reorder the brass catcher container buttons

B41: Mod support for Hayes Firearms:

  • Hayes Firearms Overhaul and Extension [HFE]
    • Make and recycle recipes for all HFE calibres
    • Changes HFE blunderbuss ammo crafting recipes (using Ammo Maker gunpowder grains)
    • Changes HFE bolt and dart crafting recipes (using Ammo Maker arrow heads and fletching)
    • Removes HFE gather gunpowder recipe
    • Ammo Maker archery is always active when using HFE (overriding 'Activate Archery' sandbox option)
