Update: Apr 11, 2023 @ 10:10am

Expanded the tech/civics tree icon system:
Icons can now be limited to or even excluded from specific traits. Added ions for certain unique unlocks visible only when playing that civ or leader:
- Tourism at Flight that's not yet covered by the default icon: Kurgan, Kampung, Rock-Hewn Church, Prasat, Marae, Thanh as well as Tokugawa's and Ludwig's abilities (for Castles instead of Flight in the latter case)
- Extra Spy and spy capacity for Catherine de Medici (Black Queen) and Wu Zetian
- Extra Housing for certain improvements: Stepwell, Kampung, Mekewap, Golf Course
- Earlier Casus Belli for Chandragupta and Robert the Bruce
- Earlier unit mergers for Spain and Zulu
- Culture for Electronics Factory at Electricity
- Extra Trade Route slots for Persia, Cree
- Caesar's ability upgrade at Steel
- Maori yield upgrade for unimproved features
- earlier Ocean access for Norway (hides original unlock icon)
- earlier Trader embarking for Portugal (hides original unlock icon)
- earlier Forest planting for Vietnam (hides original unlock icon)

These unique icons will not appear if another mod removes those effects, but additional effects added by other mods need to be added manually by those mods with a compatibility update. Please address the authors of those mods if you wish their new abilities to be reflected on the tech or civics tree.
The new system is highly modular and any other mod can add new icons, for all or just for certain civs/leaders, and also hide these custom icons for certain civs/leaders.

Compatibility for the following mods has been adjusted:
- Satellites: new Satellite projects now spread out across the tech tree, no longer hidden on it
- Commerce Expansion: added icons for the yield upgrades for the Fishing Dock and Haven
- updated compatibility code for Renewable Energy Complexity, Sappers, Bonus Resource Improvements, and Power Progression

Gameplay changes:
- Supply Convoy moved from Refrigeration to Pharmaceuticals for better unlock distribution

Update: Jun 13, 2022 @ 12:19am

This update addresses some community feedback.

1. Changes to Formations
- Icons for Corps and Armies now mention Fleets and Armadas as well.
- Spain now unlocks Fleets at Merchant Leagues (Armadas still at Mercantilism). I separated their Fleet and Armada unlocks because the gap between the original unlock civics is now much larger, so getting Armadas right together with Fleets would be a too strong buff, I think.
- Shaka now unlocks Corps and Armies at Civil Service and Sovereignty respectively. Again, he does no longer get Armies when everyone else gets Corps because of the big gap, but he does get still get them significantly earlier than everyone else.

2. Quotes
- Rotated some quotes so that Cartography is not left without one.
- Paper no longer has the Apprenticeship quotes. The new one is taken from Civil Service and does not fit too well admittedly, but at least it's about Paper.

3. Religious Units
- Moved the unlock of Missionaries up to Theology to allow you to start spreading your beliefs a bit earlier again.
