Gaia 2 V1.2B Release

Dino Limits
  • Added dino spawn limits to ALL Gaia creatures on any map.
  • This sets HARD spawn limits per "Tier" and will despawn any wild dinos that go over that limit.
  • These limits are INI configurable and can be adjusted to your liking if you don't like the default limits, however you do so at your own risk.

Piggybacking Fixes
  • In line with the dino spawn limits update, vanilla piggybacking has received an update to align it with the dino limits added.
  • Combined with the dino spawn limits, these updates should limit/prevent most, if not all, Gaia overspawns.
  • Tweaked values so all containers reach 100% but with lowered Gaia values.
  • Removed the following tiers from wild spawns and reverted back to spawn on death mechanics/crafted as they should be: Decaying, Chrono, Crystal, Forgotten, Banished.

Core Crafting Terminals
  • The following core terminal has been added: Gaia Statue
  • The following terminals have been added: Athena, Hermes, Poseidon, Apollo, Hephaestus, Hades, Ares, Artemis, Demeter, Hera, Aphrodite.
  • These new terminals are crafted in the Gaia Statue and are the new CORE terminals for ALL engrams in Gaia.
  • Adding these terminals is the first part of a restructure that aims to implement a clearer progression system & add more mythology based structure to the mod.

Engram Arrangement
  • Updated ALL of Gaia\'s engram items/structures default folder paths. Meaning the folder path within the crafting terminals will be different from what you were used to previously. This is just the first step in a huge restructure of Gaia and this was the first necessary update for this framework.
  • This means when in the terminal inventories you will notice all craftable engrams are organised into a better folder structure to allow for quick navigation.

Redundancy Warning
  • The following Gaia benches will be removed after 12th July:
  • Gaia Shrine, Gaia Metal Works, Artifact Crafter, Alchemy Table.
  • This is because their engrams/uses have been integrated into the new Terminals listed earlier in these patch notes. We are NOT removing items or functions, only updating over to new benches and removing redundant benches.
  • PLEASE ENSURE YOU EMPTY THE INVENTORY OF THESE BENCHES BEFORE 12TH JULY OTHERWISE YOU WILL LOSE ANYTHING INSIDE.

New Tier: Spirit
  • Added 4 new shields: Guardian Spirit, Spectral Spirit, Spirit & Spirit Tek.
  • Added 1 new saddle type: Spirit Tek.
  • This is an experimental addition to the mod and in future updates will be expanded to add Spirit saddles for ALL Gaia creatures, spirit weapons & tools, as well as Spirit variant tames.

Admin Elixirs Re-Merged
  • Merged Gaia 2 Admin Elixirs back into Gaia 2.
  • Gaia 2 Admin Elixirs still remains as a standalone mod but can now NO LONGER be run alongside Gaia 2, as the elixirs have been added back to Gaia 2.
  • Increased the crafting requirements significantly for the "OP" potions.

Misc
  • Added a tablet hologram to the DNA Splicer terminal screen.
  • Reverted Stamina & Health potion item names back to normal to fit in line with our restructure plan.
  • Cleaned up more unused assets and files to reduce clutter in the mod.

Gaia 2 V1.1.2B Release

Vanilla Piggybacking Patch
  • Further updated the piggyback spawn values in the PGD to reduce excessive spawns on Fjordur.
  • Piggyback values will be re-instated to original values when Fjordur\'s spawners are optimised.

Gaia 2 V1.1.1B Release

Vanilla Piggybacking Patch
  • Updated the piggyback spawn values in the PGD to reduce excessive spawns.
  • Temporarily removed Tapejara\'s from piggyback spawns due to an major overspawn in Dwarven cave on Fjordur.
  • Removed mini-bosses from piggyback spawns as they were referenced by accident.
  • Removed most crafted/spawn on death wilds from piggyback spawns to avoid breaking progression.

Gaia Terminals
  • Updated all 10 Gaia Terminals to fix a skeletal mesh parenting issue.
  • All Terminals now have unique meshes, unique material layers and individual inventory files.
  • Terminal specific particle effects added to all 10 terminals.
  • Each terminal will slowly be updated at each update from now on to continue expanding the terminals inventory.

Gaia 2 V1.1.0B Release

Vanilla Piggybacking
  • Updated the PGD to piggyback Gaia mod creatures off of vanilla spawns.
  • This means as long as a map spawns vanilla creatures, Gaia can piggyback its spawns off of it.
  • Fjordur & Lost Island can now be used as vanilla piggybacking will fix spawns.
  • Any custom maps can now have Gaia spawns as long as it has vanilla spawns.

Gaia Terminals
  • Added 10 new Gaia Terminals.
  • These are custom, fully animated, terminal benches that will soon become the core structure of Gaia.
  • Currently, they have no inventory craft-able they are simply in the game. They have been included in this update due to time constraints of Fjordur release.
  • Each terminal will slowly be updated at each update from now on.

Gaia 2 V1.0.8b Release

Health Elixir Patch
  • Patched health elixirs so they are no longer blocked by the food buff.
  • Updated how health elixirs are consumed. They no longer heal across time, they heal to the stated % immediately on consumption.
  • Updated health elixirs item name & engram requirements.
  • The potions can now be consumed via the hotbar.

Stamina Elixir Update
  • Updated the % of stamina recovery upon elixir consumption from 50% to 100%.
  • Updated stamina elixirs' item name & engram requirements.
  • The potions can now be consumed via the hotbar.

Gaia 2 V1.0.7b Release

Major Engram Update
  • Updated all 378 engrams points requirement
  • Updated all Elixirs crafting cost

Gaia Fish Farm
  • In line with our planned major restructure of Gaia, the Gaia Fish Farm has been expanded and converted into the "Poseidon Farm"
  • The updated farm passively gathers silica pearls, black pearls & angler gel.
  • However, it will now attract pirahna's and Eel's when activated so caution is advised.
  • Updated engram costs & requirements. You now need to have unlocked the magic well, Gaia shrine and divine beaver dam to unlock this farm.
  • Updated Item Icon + Item name

Additionally, added a new resource called "Infused water". In the next update this will be a bi-product of burning magic water inside a Poseidon Farm. This resource will be a prime resource for Demeter plants in an update soon.

Gaia 2 V1.0.6b Release

Ascender Bench
- Added a new structure called "Ascender" which unlocks at level 105.
- You can craft ascension consumables within this bench, allowing you to ascend that relevant boss.
- Each ascension consumable still has the default level and completion requirements. E.g., you need to be X level to unlock Gamma of X boss. To craft the Beta ascension, you will need to have already consumed the Gamma one, and so forth.

New Aura Saddles
- Added a new variant of saddle called "Aura" saddles.
- Currently, only the demonic tier have Aura saddles. This is due to be expanded to all dino variants soon.
- Demonic Aura saddles require you to have learnt the standard demonic saddle and will also require one for crafting an aura saddle.

Major Icons Update V2.0
All new icons implemented in versions V1.0.4b and before have been completely optimised or redesigned to fix any scaling/rendering issues that was causing resolution problems with the icons.

Major Icons Update
Completely overhauled a further 150+ icons across weapons, tools, structures & resources.

Piggyback Spawn System
Started to work on the framework for a vanilla spawn piggyback system. Meaning once this is complete, Gaia creatures will be able to spawn on any map that spawns its vanilla counterpart. This system will be completed fully in the next major update.

Unused Assets
Cleaned out assets that were in the source files but not referenced in-game.

Gaia Cryopod
Removed all asset files for the Gaia Cryopod.

Zinc Armor
Zinc Armour has been completely re-styled in line with its new icons implemented in this update.

Zinc Sword
Zinc Sword has been completely re-styled in line with its new icons implemented in this update.

  • Engram points requirement has been balanced with mostly vanilla values.
  • The saddles can be used with that creatures vanilla counterpart. E.g., Dreadful raptor saddle works on all variants of raptor.
