Update: Jun 29, 2023 @ 6:41am

Version is 2.1.25

Bug Fixes, Changes, and Adjustments
  • Resized the Lost Dungeon Door from Bazaar so that it will properly scale in a Double Door Frame.

  • Fixed the PEB Weapon Display Racks so that they correctly display the large shaped wood backing on them by either rescaling and positioning them or hiding them completely.

Basically, Funcom added this mesh to their own weapon display racks and I didn't see it. So I just needed to adjust this wood piece as appropriate on my own stations.

Update: Mar 14, 2023 @ 6:27am

Version is 2.1.23

Bug Fixes, Changes, and Adjustments
  • Resized the Insulated Wooden Large Window Hatch (LBPR Additional Features mod) so that it better fits the Double Door frames.

  • Fixed a Funcom bug with a few weapons having the wrong Gameplay Tag, which meant they would display on Weapon Racks incorrectly (Temporary Fix. Reported to Funcom, they will fix it themselves at some point). Basically, as this affected PEB's weapon display racks, I fixed it to address the problem in the immediate.

  • Adjusted the overlap box on the Weapon Wall Display Horizontal (PEB) and Weapon Wall Display Vertical (PEB) to better reflect their actual size.

  • Changed the name of the PEB weapon display racks for the shields to Weapon and Shield Wall Display (PEB). This will group all the PEB weapon displays together when browsing for them in the Construction Hammer, making them easier to spot at a glance.

  • Added the ability to display Bindings to the Weapon Wall Display - Horizontal (PEB) and Weapon Wall Display Vertical (PEB). Its not perfect, in fact just moving a little distance away makes the physics on the rope look silly. But I figured something is better then nothing.

  • Updated the PEB Weapon Display Racks to be compatible with various weapons and tools added since 3.0

  • Completed overhauled the code on the PEB display racks to use the more updated Funcom code that was added in Season 1 Chapter 3's update. The code however is flawed. Testerle and I made some tweaks to fix some bugs with the code, but our fixes are also not "ideal" (though the code works fine). I will likely change it again once Funcom fixes their own code.

To summarize, Weapon Display Racks now use a Gameplay Tag that is loaded in the ItemTable. A data table checks for this Gameplay Tag, or the ItemID, to determine how to display weapons. This is a far more flexible system before, as it allows individual weapons to be adjusted as need be, along with the ability to add custom weapons from other mods in the future.

However, I will not be supporting other mods custom weapons for my custom racks out of the box. If you would like weapons from a mod that you use to be able to displayed on PEB's weapon racks, contact THAT mod creator and have them send me the Gameplay Tag information needed to display their weapons. I will also need an example mesh so I can test it in the devkit and get the position at an appropriate spot. If this isn't possible to do but you still would like custom weapons to work, commissioned options will become available in the future where you can then pay me to support those other mods.

  • Added the version number of the mod that will print to the Server Log upon server or single player start.

Additions
  • Added a Wooden Lattice Sloped Roof Socket Extension (PEB)

This Lattice will allow things like Roof offsetting. Currently only available in Sloped (rectangle) form. It has been added to the Apprentice Pythagorean Support & Stacker Feat.

Update: Dec 21, 2022 @ 12:09pm

Version is 2.1.22

Bug Fixes, Changes, and Adjustments
  • Improved the placement rules for the Wall and Half Wall Extension variants.

  • Added an extra socket to the Fence Extension variants so that they may stack on top of each other or place other wall types on top of the extension.

  • Updated all buildings in the mod to have the updates sockets Funcom added or changed in 3.0/3.1.

For non standard wall types, chimney sockets were placed in locations that felt appropriate. This should also resolve any issues with upgrading or sidegrading the Iron Bars building set

  • Added a tag check so that the Double Door logic won't run if it detects this specific tag in the door via the ItemTable.

Update: Dec 6, 2022 @ 2:16am

Version is 2.1.21

Bug Fixes, Changes, and Adjustments
  • Updated the overlap exceptions to use the newer tag system (mostly redundent if you use LBPR with PEB, which you should be anyways).

  • Recompiled for the latest version of Conan

Update: Sep 22, 2022 @ 1:02am

Version is 2.1.2

Bug Fixes, Changes, and Adjustments
  • Fixed the 60 and 90 Degree Beams. I had to move the sockets 4 centimeters to get things to work right. Existing builds shouldn't be affected, but any newer beams placed down will be 4 centimeters different then previous built versions.

  • Added a 'Metal' Physical Material to the Iron Bar set so that while running on the Iron Bar buildings it will sound different then normal surfaces.

  • Changed the Wedge Lattice Pillar Socket only to rotate 30 degress so that it will correctly line up with Wedges.

  • Changed all the Lattices pieces so that they no longer overlap with themselves (with the exception of the LBPR Full Overlaps feature). This will make them a lot easier to free place when not overlapping them with building pieces.

This also means they won't offset anymore (for changing placement of walls and such), but players can still offset these by either using the LBPR Full Overlaps feauture or by using buildings to overlap the Lattices onto as they will still offset on ceilings and foundatiions.

They will also always place on top of Pillars now, as there were situations where you couldn't place the Lattices on top of Pillars.

Note: Due to the way I drastically changed the Lattices functionality on the back end, I decided to play it safe and create new Blueprints to do it so as to not affect existing builds. Any existing Lattices will remain, but any new Lattices will be built using the newer Blueprints. Due note that the New Latticies can overlap the old Latticies. I can't prevent that, and I don't know if there will be any side effects if players choose to do so. So be well aware its best to avoid that practice. If you need to place a new Lattice in the old one's place, simply remove the old Lattice first.

  • Fixed a few Item and recipes descriptions.

  • Changed the name of all items so that (PEB) is at the back of the name of the item instead at the front. This is so that they organize more logically in the Construction Hammer (Alphabetically as applicable)

  • Fixed potential crashing issues related to having both the Wooden Lattice Support and Wooden Lattice Pillar Only in the same area and attempting to remove/dismantle them.

  • Set Weapon Display Racks in the mod to be lockable (like other container types).

  • Fixed some wrong icons in the Recipes table.

  • Renamed some Feats.

  • Changed the Construction Hammer category of PEB - Double Doors & 90 Degrees to just PEB - Double Doors, as there are currently no 90 degree options that would go in that category. In the future when I've fleshed out the 90 degree options, I will either include them with the Double Door category as originally planned, or make a new category (have not yet decided on that).

Additions
  • Added a Wooden Wall 60 Degrees Rotation option.

  • Restored the 90 Degree Triangle Foundations and 90 Degree Ceilings from the original Pythagoras mod.

While I did put these back in, I want to be clear about the future of this mod and the direction I will take 90 degree features. I will not add back in the Walls or Fences from the old Pythagoras mod. I will not make more pieces like Roofs and other things like that for 90 degree sides. I am also not going to spend a huge (huge) amount of time to make complex coding systems for 90 degree options. For the momemnt, I am adding just the Triangle Foundations and 90 Degree Ceilings back in to serve as stop gaps until I add a full contingent of 90 Degree options in future, and major update(s). These will come in the form of the Modular system already offered in the Sandstone tier, but with many other material choices beyond Sandstone.

The other reason I'm adding them back in is due to player complaints about the way the Open Foundations and Ceilings work. I want to be clear here too. What I cannot do is make a square or wedge morph into a 90 degree Foundation or Ceiling. There is no amount of code that can accomplish that. And I cannot edit DLC's, or other mods. The Open concept designs I've come up with are the best modular feature I can think of, where you can take any Wedge from any building set and use it on 90 Degree angles. Yes, I'm aware it doesnt fit 100% perfect. But I expected the builders who use this mod would find creative ways to hide or even take advantage of the imperfections, as this mod already expects and allows a ton of creative freedom.

I was instead met with complaints, so I am putting in the vanilla 90 degree Ceilings as a way to give those players a basic foundation to work with. But going forward, as I add new 90 degree sets beyond Sandstone (and there will be many 90 degree options in many material offerings so players can best match those pieces with their desired building set), what I will not be doing is adding more 90 degree Ceilings as seen in this update (though I will consider it for my own building sets, past and future). For PEB, they will be Open or Modular only. The same goes for the Wall and Fence extensions, as well as Roofing.

I know creative builders out there will find amazing ways to use the 90 degree options once its fleshed out. I know because I've seen people make amazing creations with my mods. Please understand that not everything is going to be exactly as you are hoping them to be. Accept the limitations that are there, and find ways to overcome them. What's there now and in the future is already going to offer players a great deal of new options as it is.

Update: Sep 8, 2022 @ 9:52am

Version is 2.1.12

Bug Fixes, Changes, and Adjustments
  • Resolved most issues with the Double Doors displaying 1 door when a player attempts to place a door in one of the applicable door frames.

    Known Issue:

On removal, a Double Door will sometimes show up as a single red door using the construction hammer when multiple doors are removed at a time. To clear this minor display error, go to place a door in any door frame, and the removal icon will once again show as two. This is purely a display issue though, functionally it operates as it should.

  • Correctly added Navmesh instructions to all of the Door Frames in the Iron Bar set.

  • Fixed the name and icon of the Insulated Wooden Stairs Right in the Construction Hammer

Update: Sep 1, 2022 @ 5:43am

Version is 2.1.11

Bug Fixes, Changes, and Adjustments
  • Reparented the Long Fence so that it uses BP_BuildFence as its blueprint parent, as it should.

  • Fixed attachment costs for Double Door Ceilings.

These were mistakingly set to 0 attachment costs. This wasn't intended and have been restored to what would be expected in vanilla.

  • Set legacy Long or 90 Degree Building Pieces to use Vanilla Destructive Meshes in order to save space.

  • Adjusted spelling of Double Doorframes to be 'Doorframes' and not "Door Frames" to be consistent with vanilla's way of spelling it.

  • Updated the Static Meshes for all Curved Stairs. They can now be used with wedges, and feature a railing with real collision to help prevent characters from falling off.

  • Anything that is either replaced or is in the process of being replaced (from the Pythagoras merge) has been labeled as "Legacy." Due to time constraints with 3.0, some of the Legacy items remain accessible for crafting. Going forward in the next update ot PEB, these will be made inaccessible for crafting or admin spawning but any of them that were already crafted and placed in the world will remain. They will be replaced with newer and more modular methods (as seen in the Sandstone set).

  • Overhauled the code on all of the Weapon Displays in the mod to use Funcom code instead of the older custom code

Funcom's code is more optimized and easier to use. The Weapon Displays will also be a little easier to use, in particular the Shield backing display.

  • Fixed Fence Foundations overlapping with 90 Degree Triangles.

Note: 3.0 Official Update prevents Fence Foundations from overlapping Foundations all together. Users will require LBPR to continue this practice, along with being able to use them with 90 degree Wall Extensions.

  • Removed the Elephant Trophy, placeable Ladder, and placeable Glowing Torches as they don't fit within the scope of PEB. They have been migrated to LBPR - Additional Features.

  • Updated various building pieces in the mod to use the new building tags for easier side or upgrading for only those custom pieces (support beams, lattices, etc).

  • Moved all recipes in the mod to the new Construction Hammer

  • Disconnected the old Weapon Rack and Armor Stand code completely. Weapon Racks use newer Funcom code.

Armor Stands have been completely disabled in Pythagoras. Please use Fashionists Armor Stands

Additions
  • Updated, and massively expanded the Iron Bars set. This is now a legit building set with many options to choose from within the set.

It's not really within the scope of what PEB is, but as it was part of Pythagoras in the merge, I felt I would spend time to do it properly and make it as good as it could be.

  • Added Open Wooden Awnings that are designed to let players use any roofing they want to create their own awnings. They come in square, corner, and triangle variants.

This is currently in only Wooden material styles. In future updates, I will include other things such as Marble or Tavern (like the Double Door Frames).

  • Added 2 more variants of Weapon Displays. One is a small version of the 5 Weapon Rack that is displayed on the ground. And the other is a different Mesh and Material for the Shield Display.

In future updates, there will be a few more Weapon Displays added that will be different and unique to this mod.

  • Restored the Wooden Half Wall Simple Extension upon request, since it is easier to use then the Lattice version for various tasks.

  • Added a Tier 1 Wooden Lattice Ceiling and Wedge that only has Pillar sockets on it, and no Building sockets.

This was added by request, as it is easier to place and overlap over a Foundation or Ceiling then the version with Building Sockets and Pillar Sockets. Since it also has less sockets, there is less math for the server to calculate, which makes this piece safer and more optimized to use if the need for the Extension is just for additional Pillar sockets.

Note: Regarding Destructive Meshes (these are the things that appear when a building is destroyed. DM for short). As 3.0's new building system makes seseing Destructive Meshes more and more rare (to the point they only appear if destroyed in a fight or admin deleted with shift + delete), I only used a handful of DM's for most of the new assets in this update. This means that unlike in the past, the DM's do not match with their mesh.

Meaning, if you admin delete something from the Iron Bars set, it will morph into what is essentialy a placeholder mesh.

Update: Mar 4, 2022 @ 4:11am

Version is 2.0.1

Bug Fixes, Changes, and Adjustments
  • Fixed remaining names that still had "PSB" on it and correctly renamed them to PEB

  • Adjusted the size of the Stable Fence Gate (DLC) so it doesn't clip as much when turned into a double door

  • Fixed placement issues with the Wall Socket Extension and Wall Lattice (in particular when setting up wall hanging)

  • Fixed some icons with a few of the Double Door Frames so that they properly show what size they are

  • Fixed the Wooden Fence Extension to be able to hang from Ceilings

  • Removed LOD's on the Wooden Wall Socket Extension and Wooden/Marble Lattice Support & Pillar Ext (Square & Wedge) since they aren't needed (slightly reduces mod size while having no impact on performance).

  • Changed the Half Wall Lattice Socket Extension to use a less performance expensive material

  • Adjusted the Half Wall Lattice Socket Extension to be less tall then before for better blending opportunities.

  • Fixed the Half Wall Lattice Lattice Socket Extension so that it can hang from ceilings properly.

  • Removed upgrade building tags on some of PEB pieces that shouldn't have had any.

Additions
  • Added more sockets to both the Wooden Half Wall Lattice Socket Extension and Wooden Wall Lattice Socket Extension for even more creative building potential with these pieces.

In addition, their free placement range has significantly increased. This does make them placing exactly where you want a bit more difficult then a vanilla wall, but it also allows more placement variety too (which is after all, their primary purpose).

  • Added a Wooden Half Wall Upside-Down Extension.

Don't ask me what it's for, I did it based on request and it only took me a few minutes to make. Have at it.

Update: Feb 20, 2022 @ 8:30pm

Version is 2.0.0

Bug Fixes, Changes, and Adjustments
  • Changed the material on some of the existing pieces so that their shader is less "expensive" to help with performance.

This does change the color just slightly, but most of these pieces are meant to be hidden inside walls and ceilings anyways.

  • Minor changes to various overlap boxes and such.

  • Minor fixes to upgrade tags on legacy short beams to allow easier replacement.

  • Minor layer order adjustments to some icons to make them more visible.

  • Added 4 more building sockets to square lattices so you can overlap them by 1/4's instead of just 1/2's.

  • Fixed the recipe title for Insulated Short Support Beam

  • Improved placement for the Diagonal Support Beams - Wedge Versions (the attaching to a wall type)

  • Redused the size of the doulbe wall extension on the Z to allow Fences to be rotated on them.

  • Added a secondary placement indicator for several pieces (such as the lattices) to make them a lot easier to overlap into ceilings and walls.

It's basically a fancier direction arrow.

  • Set the half-wall extension as a legacy item and can no longer be crafted. The lattice half wall does what this piece used to do and far more.

Additions
  • Added Double Door Frames! Take any single door, place it into the appropriate frame, and it will AUTOMATICALLY scale it, and turn it into a functional Double Door!

  • Added several different pieces that can change the rotation of any building piece. Featuring 60 degree, 90 degree, and a full 180 degrees!

  • Added wall lattices to give a ton of additional sockets for building sockets in any wall

  • Added two 45 degree Support Beams in Tavern and Darkwood.

  • Added a wall and angled extension to provide stability to situations where walls and stairs/ramps need additional support

The wall is great for setting up hanging walls from ceilings (vanilla allows only 1 wall to hang from a ceiling), and the angled extension also has angled building sockets so you can attach any fence to the side of your favorite stair set.
