Version 2.6.0 - Signs of Life Update

Bumped game version to 3.6.*. Nothing about previous functionality seems to have been impacted, although it's possible that the new frigates may absolutely wreck Augurs now, so guard them well.

Added the new Life Signs dowsing/boring functionality. The Augur can now connect new systems with Stellar Fauna or Primitives using the Dowser and Bore functions. As this is a very specific kind of connection, it will not have Advanced Bore support.

(Finally) updated ship limits to match Merger of Rules. If you're using something on that list you should probably have the Merger involved anyway, though!

Version 2.5.0 - Toxic Love

Bumped game version to 3.5.*. No code was altered (preliminary test run shows everything's still working as it was) so this remains backwards compatible with 3.4.*.

Updated the ship rule set to match the most recent Merger of Rules list.

Added dummy localizations for various languages (Brazilian Portugese, French, German, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish) for HTM event stuff. It's all just English but now people running those languages will see something other than MODDER_DIDN'T_DO_SOMETHING_IN_YOUR_LANGUAGE strings.

Version 2.4.3 - The Unending Quest for Compatibility

Updated an Acquisition of Technology ship limit rule.

Also added the unique NSC ships to the rule but this will be overwritten by Merger (which isn't meant to handle total conversions like NSC anyway).

Version 2.4.2 - Even More Compatibility

Per Inny's recommendation I've updated the default ship limit to match what Merger of Rules handles just to head off any edge cases where people may not be using the Merger or something weird happens with their mod loading. This adds Azur Lane to the list of mods this one won't clash on ship limits with.

Version 2.4.1 - A Little Bit of Compatibility Update

In attempting to head off other mods breaking the Augur ship limit with their own, compatibility for ship limits of the following mods has been added:

- Acquisition of Technology
- DarkSpace

Version 2.4.0 - Chaotic Changes Update

In addition to becoming 3.4-compatible, the following changes were made:

- The tech tree is rearranged. The initial tech now gives Connector/Truncator functionality and the techs advance from there.
- The Hyperspace Isolator has been added. Now you can cut off a system from all hyperlanes with a single operation... but you'll need to research Jump Drives first.
- The Hyperspace Advanced Bore has been added. Usable for the same cost as the normal Bore, it allows you to pick a cardinal/intercardinal direction for the new system to pop in. The exact placement is still subject to wild variation on the elevation axis and has a slight room to wobble so you won't be making perfect grids.
- The Hyperspace Augur is now undesignable and auto-upgrades like a science or construction ship.
- Augur Beam tiers are removed. The Augur always takes 180 days to fire now.
- Augur fleet cap has been adjusted. Instead of a single Augur ever, you can now have up to 3, gaining 1 additional Augur for every 250 fleet cap your empire has.
- The Augur is cheaper and faster to build, but is also more fragile than before. If you're going to use them in hostile operations, guard them well!
- Costs of all Augur operations have seen reductions. The most major reduction is halving Connector/Isolator functions to 5000 Energy, so you can actually do some earlier hyperlane sculpting without needing a Dyson Sphere.

Currently the 3.4 way of limiting ships has changed in a way that can make this mod incompatible with others that add unique ships. I imagine something like Merger will address this sooner or later, but until then the only way to deal with this is to use something like Irony to reconcile the conflicts in default country ownership limits.

Version 2.3.2 - Version Bumpdate

Changes the listed compatible version to 3.3.* so we're good until Overlord launches.

Since nobody's announced anything catching on fire since 3.3 launched there are no changes other than the bump so your launcher will stop annoying you about it.

Update: Jan 8, 2022 @ 8:25am

Version 2.3.1 - Small Tweaks Update

GUI window slightly expanded and the buttons recentered so it doesn't look lopsided on windows where there is no scrollbar.

The Hyperspace Connector will now register up to 36 nearby systems, something that may be relevant on Huge or larger custom galaxy sizes.

The Hyperspace Truncator will now register up to 20 connections to sever. If you managed that in the first place you probably need Buddha/The Kaiser/Zodiark more than this update, but it was easy enough to do so it's done.

Update: Jan 7, 2022 @ 4:07pm

Version 2.3.0 - The Less Ugly Interface Update

Hyperspace Augur events now use a custom UI. For longer option lists that may crop up for the Truncator and Connector operations, a scrollbar will now appear. All elements used are vanilla references, so any UI mods that change these will also apply to these new windows (specifically the event window and diplomatic option buttons).

The location of the firing is now properly pointed out for the main Augur window so you always have a button to take you there. The menus also identify the system by name in each window for a hypothetical future where the cap on the Augur is raised (and also for you naughty, naughty people who bank the events and have multiple to juggle right now).

Update: Jan 6, 2022 @ 12:26pm

Version 2.2.1 - QoL update

Moved the "Nevermind" prompts to the top of the list so that's the default (sorry, I know bottom is more logical but it's what gets selected when someone leaves the event fallow without clicking for years).

The "Nevermind" prompts on the functions will now return you to the main Augur operation selection menu instead of canceling things outright, just in case you selected the incorrect operation and want to try again.

A description for the Hyperspace Augur has been added to the previewer when selecting ship types on empire creation.
