Fixes
-Added ecumenism back to Coptic
-Tightened the scripting for some of the character faith changes to quieten the error log.
-Added basic title loc for Daju characters as seeing a bunch of 'Counts' in the council of Alwa and Makuria triggered me. Instead they are localised as Chieftains.

Changes
Set Gojjam to Waaq pagan in both start dates instead of Ethiopian Orthodox, due the fact that the expansion of Christianity into the territory didn't actually take place until after 1066.

Mod admin changes:
  • All of BAP's changes now display in the lobby (i.e. immediately when you are on character select screen), rather than after game start - which is a bit confusing for some users (sorry!)
  • BAP now (once again) requires IBL as a base-mod.
  • BAP's culture/religion charges now reorganised into scripted on-actions to increase compatibility.

East Africa Culture Overhaul
-Reworked East Africa and the Horn culture set up, from the 4 existing cultures to 10.
-Ethiopian culture broken into Habasha, Amhara and Agaw.
-Also added Agrobba, Harla, Sidama, Omotic (replacing Weylata) and Oromo cultures.
-Added some hybrid culture names for the Horn and East Africa, with Ethiopian being a hybrid of the cushitic and semitic cultures present.
-With these cultures comes from new traditions such as 'Cultural Adoption' practiced by the Oromo (and Ijaw/Oru in West Africa), whereby Oromo characters may adopt and culturally convert people of other cultures (adding a trait 'Cultural Adoptee' to the recipient), as well as making cultures with this tradition more effective when they use the existing 'request cultural conversion' vassal interaction. -Other new traditions with this update include 'Priest Kings' and 'Gerontocracy.'
-Changes to Ethiopic ruler titles including title replacements and diacretics.
-Overhauled the Ethiopic name list, and added name lists for the new cultures added.
-Added reduced diplomatic range as a modifier to to the Amharic Highlanders and Land of the Bow traditions - to help reduce the amount of East Africans marrying Byzantine princesses :) To this end I also made a fictional wife for each Ethiopian and Nubian king or duke of note (where historical ones are unknown) so as to also reduce the temptation to marry said princesses.
-Rearranged some of the title holders at both start dates. I removed the ahistorical Shirazid blob. This kingdom seems to be a transplant of a real Kilwan dynasty, but the Shirazids did not control Sawah or any territory in the horn so their inclusion in vanilla is confusing. I also fixed the weird vanilla set up which had House Gideon
holding the duchy of Aksum at 1066 and the King of Aksum holding the Gideon's duchy title. Other changes also done for balance and greater historical sense and accuracy.

New Ethiopian Christian faith
-Added an Ethiopian Christian faith (replacing all coptic in the region), "Haymanot Rətəʿt" literally the 'Orthodox Faith,' to represent the distinct doctrines and tenets of the faith as it existed in Ethiopia.
-Rətəʿt differs from vanilla Coptic by allowing polygamy and clerical marriage, being slightly more tolerant of witchcraft (shunned) but less tolerant of incest.
Rətəʿt shares with Coptic the tenet of monasticism but its other two tenets are asceticism and mendicant preachers, which better reflect the nature of Christianity in Ethiopia in this time period.
-Rətəʿt has no religious head at all, however a king or emperor of Aksum may petition the Patriarch to replace their Abun (realm priest). With permission I have integrated a version of Farewell Chaplain by Feivel for use by Rətəʿt rulers only. This will not clash with the regular version of Farewell Chaplain, which I encourage people to use as it adds a great RP friendly mechanic for replacing your realm priest!
-Within Rətəʿt it also the Abun who has the power to excommunicate, and so Rətəʿt dukes and above may request an excommunication of another follower of the faith from the Abun.
-Added a new doctrine so that Coptic and Rətəʿt characters should view each other as equals rather than as 'astray' like other Christian faiths do.

Decisions
-As a Muslim ruler if you hold all the kingdoms of the Horn of Africa you may form a new custom empire, 'the Golden Horn Sultante.'
-Removed the requirement to be Nubian for the 'Retire a Monastery' decision, thus now available to other Christian rulers with Monasticism tenet.

Buildings
-Added Masjid (Mosque) Fakhr ad-Dīn to Mogadishu
-Added Masjid al-Qiblatayn to Zayla. This mosque constructed in the 7th century AD shortly after the hirjah, making it one of the oldest mosques in the world.

Other changes
-Added a new duchy (via script) to replace d_mora - the Duchy of Ifat, as it was sad to have the Horn but no Ifat on the map! This change also makes the area de jure k_adal rather than k_aksum, as it should be.
-Added two new loading screens to the game.
-New court position - 'Chief Gbeto' for Ewe cultured rulers.
-Removed the Elder Veneration tenet and moved its changes into a new cultural tradition, 'Gerontocracy.'
-Made the 'Water Spirits' tenet accessible to any pagan by user request, instead of just Ijaw pagans.

Update: Mar 14, 2022 @ 5:28pm

Changes

-Sacred Rulership Tradition: Changed the loc of the sacred rulership tradition to 'Priest Kings' and changed the tradition description to better reflect this. Made the tradition available to choose for anyone with a temporal religious head regardless of culture. Added additional parameters and character modifiers.
-Become Al-Kahina Decision: Added tuareg paganism aka Illuism as a valid faith to be shown the decision, and the 'witch' trait to the trait list valid to take the decision.

Fixes
-Fixed an error in the divination decision event which meant the event didn't actually fire.
-Fixed a loc issue with knight cultures
-Fixed a loc issue with Walls of Kano.
