During testing/development of the next update of Betabound, an issue was discovered which was deemed important enough to warrant a patch. Specifically:
• Stone Axe/Hoe not displaying its large image

SUMMARY:
• Preservatives! Tired of food rotting on you? Find some sulphur and seaweed, then check your Foraging Table!
• Adjusted pickaxe and drill recipes!
• Ladder Deployer! Quickly places up to 10 ladders!

-=- New -=-
• Wrapping Table! Craft at a Wooden Crafting Table (or better). Use it to wrap multiple items in one parcel!
• Sulphur! Mine it from the ground and use it to make Preservatives.
• Alien Seaweed! Find it in the ocean and use it to make Preservatives.
• Adjustments to armor recipes
• Ladder Deployer! Quickly places up to 10 ladders

-=- Crafting -=-
• Mossy Packed Dirt available by default
• Neon Block recipe available by default
• Plant Block recipe available by default
• Adjustments to vanilla recipes which use glass blocks

• All non-stone pickaxes now require a stone pickaxe to craft instead of the previous tier pickaxe (basically, you don't need to make a copper, silver, gold, then platinum pickaxe to make a diamond drill.)
• All non-hand-drill drills now require a hand drill to craft instead of-- Y'know what? Yeah, it's like the pickaxes.
• Hand Drill recipe no longer uses iron; uses a bit more steel
• Drill recipes require 12 materials (copper bar, diamond, etc) instead of 20
• The recipes which upgrade a Stone Pickaxe/Hand Drill are uncraftable with the Universal Uncrafter mod. However, the ones which upgrade an already upgraded tool, such as reinforcing a copper pickaxe with silver remain unable to be uncrafted

• Copper armor: Requires 1 woven fabric per piece
• Silver armor: Requires 1 cotton wool per piece
• Gold armor: Moved from Robotic Crafting Table to Metalwork Station; requires 1 titanium and 1 canvas per piece
• Aegisalt/violium/rubium armor: Requires 1 silk per piece
• Ferozium/cerulium armor: Requires 1 synthetic material per piece
• Impervium armor: Requires 1 harden carapace per piece

• Durasteel Elevator recipes changed
• Long Wooden Elevator recipe changed
• Flat Locker and Wide Locker now craftable

-=- Weapons -=-
• The Brain Extractor now applies a visual effect when a valid brain extraction target is shot
• Nerfed Thorny Needler's alt fire
• The Heat Ray now shoots through walls

-=- Misc -=-
• Removed 'can be used for crafting' from the descriptions of various crafting ingredients
• Minor cosmetic adjustments to the tooltips of rice, kelp, and crystal plants
• Added Sewer Flies and Glitch Spiders to Glitch Sewers
• Empty Parcel now requires Timber Planks to craft
• Cardboard Boxes now require additional Timber Planks to craft
• Tweaked Food Depletion Suppression effect-- the one given by pizza
• Gunpowder now requires sulphur
• Improved some food sprites: Automato Shake, Bloody Puss, Carrot Juice, Cordial Glass, Kiwi Juice, Meat Juice, Meat Wine, Oculemonade Bottle, Pineapple Juice, Reef Juice, Reef Shake, Tomato Juice, Wine Glass, Weyene, Rice Wine, Rice Vinegar, and probably some more
• Changed the name and description of Betabound's watering can to avoid confusion with vanilla's
• Expanded on and added descriptions to some weapons
• Object-Crafting objects, such as the Stone Furnace and Coffee Machine, now have a close button
• Card Index now obtainable as loot in the Grand Pagoda Library mission

-=- Bug Fixes -=-
• Several melee weapons now have sounds
• Corrosive Particles (purple fire) now have purple light
• Several furniture recipes now properly appear in crafting
• Corrected some rare cases where the game would crash
• Fixed an oversight regarding hunger
• Fixed a quest not accepting copper armor as armor
• Empty Parcels and Parcels default to the same tab, correcting an issue where items could not be wrapped if the inventory was modded in such a way as to have the two items go into different tabs. This is also why the Upgrade Module Retriever seemingly stopped working in the inventory-- because Tech Swappers and Tech Cards/Drives go in different tabs of the inventory! This is stupid! I hate the inability to move items between tabs even more now, and I didn't think that was possible! I loathe it!
• Fixed a bug with the parachute pack

SUMMARY:
1. Armor stat distribution changed. Affects Betabound armor only.
1b. Armor provides up to 5 stats instead of up to 3.

• Orange juice and Orangenergy! Learn the recipes by obtaining an orange and a neonmelon, or check out a vending machine!

• Betabound armors now show their levels in tooltips
• Betabound armors adjusted: stats are now better divided between armors
• Snow Infantry stats adjusted

• Reduced the prices of most racial weapons. Armor is next!
• Racial daggers are no longer overpowered
• Racial spear damage adjusted
• Procedural weapons no longer have locked rarities

• Terramart no longer sells items certain items. Mainly ones sold by Infinity Express. Items affected: Meatballs, Raw Bacon, Raw Ham, Red Apple, Orange
• Terramart now sells Bottled Water
• Infinity Express now sells cotton wool
• Infinity Express now sells Air Pocket Generators upon completing the coffee questline
• Reordered the list of items in Infinity Express

• Ground Smash no longer cancels early while waiting for chunks to load

• Radios now have the beta ship ambience as an option
• Portable Pixel Printer has a new holographic animation
• Pulse Rifles dyeable

• Lecterns now ACTUALLY sort alphabetically

• Glitch T10 broadsword now the correct dye things. v0.8.8.0 broke it
• Mining Camp mining chests use the planet level
• Updated sb_newquestnorewards.config with fixes from sb_newquest.config
• Tall Chairs dropping the wrong type of wooden chairs
• Ruin Portal being affected by weather
• Fixed a bug with updating player files from early/mid 2021

• Whiskey Flasks! Basically a less potent form of Whiskey Bottles.

• Four new medicines! Shroom Remedy, Grass Remedy, Fungus Stim, and Synthesis Stim!
• Wild Vines and Alien Wood Sap! Both are used to make medicine.

• Glorp Soda removed; effects moved to Soda (sans food value), which is now renamed to Glorp Soda. Got it? It'll be on the test
• Soda energy boost effect duration increased to 60, from 30
• Oculemonade (craftable) renamed to Oculemonade Bottle; Oculemonade (purchasable) renamed to Oculemonade Can
• Soda, Reef-Cola, and Oculemonade Can now stackable
• Oculemonade Can grants 10 energy upon consumption, to match the effects of Oculemonade Bottles. The reason the cans don't give the food value or heal effect is because you used those good j u i c y Oculemons to make your stuff. (The actual reason is that it makes perfect sense for beta food, such as the bottle, to heal you, but it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever for vanilla food, such as the can, to heal you. If anyone wants to debate over whether or not store-bought Oculemonade should heal you, or if homemade Oculemonade shouldn't heal you, join the official Betabound Discord server!)
• Box of Chocolates now grants an extended 25% run boost effect

• Wooden Ladder recipe output is now 15, up from 5
• Wooden Ladders craftable at Workbenches too
• Javelins craftable
• The following items now have alternate recipes: Synthetic Material (phase matter + oil), Battery (titanium + static cell), AA Battery (static cell)
• Hunting Knife now requires 2 timber planks to craft; now craftable at a Foraging Table
• T5-10 beds now require 3 silk and an additional bar
• T5-10 chairs now require 5 leather, unfortunately
• Box of Chocolates craftable at vanilla cooking table
• Foraging Table craftable at Wooden Crafting Table
• Sprinklers craftable at Robotic Crafting Table

• Radiation/Cold/Heat resist techs now offer 25% poison/ice/fire resistance, and state so in their description
• Jeep energy cost per second increased
• Tech Station now shows some tech stats

• Erchius Crystal (block) fuel: changed from 4 to 8
• Plate improvements
• Jeep turns with your character-- no more '[S] to turn'
• 'Jetpack' type techs (Rocket Boots, Hover, and Gravity Neutraliser) now reduce fall damage by 50% when active. Active, as in, 'actively holding the space bar and thrusting'
• For the Growing Trays mod, Rotten Apples and Revolting Stew can be used as fertilizer
• Clothing Merchants can now sometimes sell rare cosmetic items
• Added music to player stations (music will not be added to pre-existing stations)
• Flesh Staves now appear more frequently in Heck Chests
• Suit Tech Drives now use the same color as the other ones
• Tech Drives now display their slot type in their subtitle (ie: "Tech (Body)" instead of "Tech")
• Burning Coals now do damage to things which aren't players
• Expanded on the descriptions of Core Fragments, Iron Bars, Tungsten Bars, and Durasteel Bars
• Radio message for picking up a ladder
• Durasteel Elevators now have uncommon rarity
• Doom Furniture now has rare rarity
• Arctic Ocean worlds can now have Ice Sphere Chests
• Hunting Knife rarity changed
• Did some fancy things... I got three hours of sleep today, how are you?

• Esther Bright now gives the player leveled reward bag. No more level 1 weapons at the end of the game!
• Most Outpost quests give reward bags

-=- Bug Fixes -=-
• Shields now change their rarity with level
• Female characters now get the female versions of the air/radiation upgrade cinematics
• Lava balloons are no longer harmless when you land a direct hit
• Armor, vehicle, seed, and filledcapturepod itemdescription subtitle fixes
• More of a balancing change than a bug fix, but the weapons grown from Sword Stones now vary in level
• Light Ball and Shock projectiles have speed
• Morphball/Rollyball is no longer fullbright
• Steel Chains placed in the foreground no longer hide the background tile behind them
• Tech Development Console's screen no longer floats in the air. Also fixed missing pixels in a frame
• Fixed 'Silt' being treated as a proper noun in its description. By that, I mean I eradicated all references to loose silt and replaced them with fine sand. You cannot convince me that "It's Silt[sic]. It's very silty." is a better description than "A fine glittering sand. Could probably be made into glass!"
• Tech Equippers no longer freeze when attempting to equip a suit while not wearing a suit
• Removed the rotting script from Box of Chocolates
• Ladders now have the proper racial descriptions

• `/tech/starbound/tech` no longer uses `tech` and `bio` arrays: it is one array now.
• sb_biotech phased out; use sb_tech instead

• Fixed a typo in a quest

• You can now change direction while using a staff
• Staves now have alt abilities
• Guns with very high rates of fire now actually have them
• ...And machine pistols now use vanilla stats, so... The above may never come into play for them
• Toxic Broadswords can now have Travelling Slash as a special

• Tesla Spikes printable at Portable Pixel Printer
• Waz Lights craftable at Toy Maker's Table
• All-Seeing Helmet craftable

• Adjusted Cerulium Sample sprite
• Thorns status effect has some visual adjustments. I'm not sure why they were disabled or why they existed to begin it, or why they work the way they do, but I'm not here to ask 'why,' I'm here to ask 'why not.' Why NOT bring it back? Why NOT finish what was started a decade ago?
• Gave the alternate Terramart vendors some more chill-pills.
• Barbed Wire, Sawblades, Medieval Spikes, and Tesla Spikes now deal damage to enemies
• Mining tools now count as a 'similar item' to Matter Manipulators
• Removed /xrc_gleaps
• xrc_ commands changed. Use sb_ instead. ie: sb_givemetech instead of xrc_givemetech
• Uranium Rod fuel: changed from 8 to 10
• Plutonium Rod fuel: changed from 12 to 15
• Solarium Rod fuel: changed from 16 to 20
