SUMMARY:
• New tech! Explosive Protection. Charge up by taking damage and release it in a timed explosion! Craft or find it!
• Weapon Upgrade Kits! Craft them at Tool Tables and level up your weapons. (Each kit has an associated level, and using that kit will bring a weapon up to that level.)
• Added the Long Arm! Keep your cursor on an enemy to freeze them in place for a few easy shots; buy at a level 2 Peacekeeper store!
• Grey Stim Packs (and a throwable variant)! Craft it using Hardened Carapace at an upgraded Apothecary and boost your defense!
• New encounter structure! Wrecked starship. Find it on most planets!

• NOTE: The way the game handles some weapons, (Chromosword, Starcleaver, Watersword, Candy Cane, Eye Sword, Fire Sword) were changed. If these items are in your inventory upon updating, please log into your character then return to the title screen OR shift-click the weapons into a chest. If you don't, you'll (harmlessly) be booted to the title screen. Afterwards, the weapons will work just fine.

• Santa tenant added. Requires 24 'blocks' of Christmas furniture and 8 blocks of commerce furniture to spawn. Identical to the Santa which visits the outpost during December

• New obtainable items (unobtainable in vanilla): Wrecked Turbine, Wrecked Turbines, Wide Wrecked Crate, Wrecked Hanging Wires, Wrecked Vat, Wrecked Generator, Wrecked Chair, Small Wrecked Table.
• Grey Chemist crew member! For the new grey stim.
• Blue, green, orange, and yellow glow fibres can be combined into normal multi-coloured glow fibre.

• Chromosword, Starcleaver, Watersword, Candy Cane, Eyesword, and Fire Sword upgraded. Now act less awkward
• Cell Zapper energy usage reduced
• Shield tech description altered to state that it uses energy and blocks *outside* damage. Its stat display shows 'Recharge Time' instead of 'Cooldown Time.'
• Wooden Shelf now has the Commerce and Storage colony tags
• Lana Blake no longer sells suit techs
• Deadbeat Merchants can now sell heated smoke grenades
• All-Seeing Crusader NPC's now drop loot
• Fall Dampener now reduces fall damage by 40%, up from 20%
• Racial axes are no longer weaker than racial shortswords
• Racial axes are now all the same speed
• Pile of Eyes block can be made from Juicy Oculemons now
• Paper Plane cost reduced to 5, from 400
• Prepared food is no longer absurdly common in chests
• Force Field tech can no longer be randomly found in chests. It must be crafted
• Lazercaster now has an alt ability: plasma shotgun
• Vanilla rare/uncommon assault rifles now Flashlight and Spray n' Pray as possible alt abilities
• Vanilla rare/uncommon shotguns now have Flashlight and Lance as possible alt abilities
• Vanilla rare/uncommon sniper rifles now have Flashlight as a possible alt ability
• Red Stim Packs now use 4 petals instead of 5, just like every other stim pack

• Adjusted Heated Smoke Grenade price
• The galaxy hologram at the ark now has more frames
• Changed the color of the backing image for ammo items

• (From a hotfix on 31/JAN/2022) Bone Hammer now shoots a projectile again
• The debris from the Space Drop Pods event are now purple
• Falling Blocks now have particles when they break. Are you seeing a trend with the particles and the 'entity dies/despawns/breaks' thing? I am.

During testing/development of the next update of Betabound, an issue was discovered which was deemed important enough to warrant a patch. Specifically:
• Bone Hammer now shoots a projectile again

SUMMARY:
• Note: pre-existing Busters may need to be tossed on the ground or put into a chest before they are usable again
• Crops with 'exotic' variants (ie: pristine pearlpeas) now always drop their regular variant along with whatever else they were going to drop. You'll still get exotic produce, but you'll always get a regular one too
• Damage increased for all Betabound guns and some broadswords
• Lowered the energy usage rate on uzis
• New ice-geometric furniture! Find the blueprints and primary ingredient on tundra planets (or research the blueprints)
• Note for Betabound SIP users: The 'Ammo Applier' custom item under Dev Tools has been changed. Use 'Ammo Applier (v2)' from now on-- the old one doesn't change the class of the primary ability, which is why it didn't work with guns that had alt abilities. For anyone making ammo-using guns which require Betabound, change the class of the primary ability to sb_AmmoGunFire

• Cutarrh and Katarrhna! Two new slimy shortswords to find (the latter can be crafted after obtaining its blueprint)
• Cutarrh blueprint can be found in slime chests, in blueprint blobs, or researched
• Speaking of blueprint blobs, they can be found in slime caves
• Bio Staff is now craftable. Find or research the blueprint!
• Station Vending Machine now printable
• Ice Caves now have unique ambience
• Added new ambience to tentacle planets, heck biomes, and generic underground layers
• Added a handful of breakable objects (and one decorative plant) to the tundra biome. It might look a bit cluttered
• Sweet Meat (betabound) is now Candied Bacon; recipe, sprite, and stats changed. Now crafted with toffee instead of sugar

• Bio Staff projectile no longer moves
• Bio Staff special now applies the glowing status effect for three minutes instead of thirty seconds
• Bio Staff and Rockalance Staff now have fullbright parts
• Non-crappy Betabound axes now have five new blades
• Betabound daggers now have four new blades
• ...Nine new hammer heads
• Procedural Betabound weapons are now more colorful! Crappy weapons look even more crappy too
• Mushroom Shields (Betabound) now apply poison to enemies. They are also craftable as a T2 shield-- find the recipe in surface mushroom biomes or research it
• Racial weapons no longer teach any recipes on pickup
• Merchant's no longer sell racial weapon blueprints
• Brain Extractor and Silver Armor are now craftable at an unupgraded anvil
• Adjusted damage and speed values of non-racial broadswords. They should now be worth using
• Cellshade projectile damage is no longer a fixed 15

• Vanilla teleporters now have unique descriptions
• Bio Staff, Rockalanche Staff, Fleshbringer, and Dangpa's Fury can now be found outside of their biomes
• Changed sfx on Rockalanche Staff's alt
• If an item has the 'customItem' parameter, it will not attempt to be updated as it quite clearly isn't what we're trying to change (Betabound automatically 'updates' its items when changes are made under the hood, such as Betabound axes using the sb_axe ability instead of the vanilla axecleave. Any Betabound weapon using axecleave is automatically changed to use sb_axe-- adding the 'customItem' parameter tells Betabound not to change it)
• Unique elemental broadswords have particle effects when swung
• The description of Superior and Artificial Brains now state how to get brains and where to get a Brain Extractor
• Card Index no longer appears in Hylotl mission chests, instead it is now printable. Yeah, it was funny to open a card index and find absolutely no cards, but instead find an exact duplicate of the very thing you opened, but who wants to grind that mission to get multiple card indexes?
• sb_itemID, when provided with a second argument, now pretty-prints
• Music Sheets can have parameters applied to them by editing the `/collections/sb_music.config` file. Check {ODKAZ SMAZÁN} for an example
• Two new debug commands for unlocking suit techs. Requires StarExtensions https://github.com/StarExtensions/StarExtensions
• The colors of dye bottles are now more accurate (Lime Green, Light Grey, Grey-Blue, and Teal dyes)
• Improvements to the Molten Core sprite
• Molten Core, Endomorphic Jelly, and Processor now state they can be used to craft their respective progression item in their description
• Adjustments to the iron and robotic tool table prices
• The 100-pixel replacement Manipulator now longer has a base sell price of 1000
• Title Screen Concept (labeled as 'Betabound' in the radio) no longer has a chance to play on the title screen. No, I'm not saying it ALWAYS plays now, just that it NEVER plays now!
• Removed duplicate Basic Shield. Existing ones will transform into T1 shields
• Moved Frost Shield from the armor crafting category to the weapon one, because that's where shields are in vanilla
• Increased the size of the Dyeable label for weapons
• Decreased price of Time-Telling Wrist Mechanism
• Kelp quest takes 100 kelp instead of 300

• Gauze! A fast healing item between bandage and nanowrap-- heals 75 health. Made with cotton!
• Fatal Claws! A unique weapon dropped by the Fatal Circuit boss!
• Explosive Gloves! A unique fiery fist weapon. Find or research the blueprint!
• Brass Knuckles! An unused vanilla weapon; it now spawns in chests, randomly.

• Composite Rails are now printable via Portable Pixel Printer
• Box of Chocolates is now crafted with Cocoa Pods instead of Chocolate Bars
• Fungus Stim uses 1 living root instead of 2
• Mannequins are now craftable at a workbench
• Research Station now shows which blueprints are known and shows the tooltip of the item (ie: weapon stats, mech part info, food buffs... things the blueprints don't show)
• Firework recipes which use volatile powder now show in the empty hands crafting menu and require copper wire
• Firework recipes which use gunpowder now show in the Toymaker's Table and require 1 paper instead of 5, also requires dyes
• 'Candy Block from Holiday Spirit' recipe changed. Now yields 50 blocks instead of 10
• The amount of Holiday Spirit required to craft items has changed as to prevent the player from making massive profits by crafting expensive items from inexpensive Holiday Spirit (new cost is <item price> divided by 100, rounded down to the integer)
• Holiday Sack price increased from 50 to 500
• Red, green, and white dyes now craftable at Toymaker's Table with Holiday Spirit

• Non-common fish can now drop reward bags
• Adjusted fish spawn rates
• Common fish now have an 80% spawn chance instead of 1000%
• Legendary fish have a 5% spawn chance instead of 0.1%

• Crystal Plants added to produce treasure pool
• Time Telling Wrist Mechanism now shows a sun/moon icon during day/night. Er, specifically, when during 'daytime fish time' and 'nighttime fish time'
• Burn Spray and Antidotes are now usable while under their respective effects. No need to wait for their effects to expire before refreshing them!
• Burn Spray now has a sound effect when you use it
• Wild Crystal Plants now grow faster
• Some suit techs now show additional information in the tech menu
• Santa now sells Empty Parcels and Wrapping Tables
• Added some space debris
• Blank Codices now show an item slot under the 'put a codex here to change the cover of your book' slot to better indicate that it's interactable
• Both foundry elevators are now printable
