More improvements, more guns, etc.
  • Updated all weapons to Draconic 1.01
  • New weapon: BR75 Battle Rifle (Halo Infinite Battle Rifle)
  • New weapon: Mk50 (Halo Infinite Sidekick pistol)
  • New materials & upscaled textures for the M392 DMR (Reach)
  • Added bullets to the DMR's magazine model which will show up/disappear relative to an empty/full reload.
  • New & upscaled textures for the shared decals from Reach
  • BR55HB now uses my "Restored" Halo 3 Battle Rifle model.
  • Switched the font used on the Halo CE & Halo 3 ammo counters.
  • Grenade launcher now functions almost exactly as it does in Reach. Hold down for manual detonation & EMP.
  • Added worldmodel firing animations to most guns that needed them.
  • Updated the MA5B to use Marcus Lehto's recreation, with alternate CE-accurate textures I did.
  • Updated the MA5B's spawn icon to use the new model in its image.
  • Brought back the MA5B's integrated flashlight functionality. This system is from a new feature of the Draconic Base & may have unencountered bugs. Please report any to me.
  • Lowered T33B's base damage from 150 to 100, as it was dealing way too much damage to be halo accurate.
  • Added a bullet profile to both fuel rods, the SPNKr, concussion rifle, missile pod, plasma caster, brute shot, and reach grenade launcher which utilizes the Draconic Base's vehicle damage multiplier, making them believe more halo-like & realistic damages to vehicles.
  • Added a vehicle damage multiplier to the incineration cannon's bullet profile.
  • Remade SRS99C's reloading sounds from Halo 2's sniper sound effects.
  • Switched SRS99C to use the SRS99D's firing sounds since they're effectively the same.
  • Most weapons now utilize Draconic's Sound Table feature, providing both interior/standard/exterior firing sounds & giving much more life to the feel of the guns. Guns that do not utilize this system currently will in the future. It's a very time-consuming & boring process to convert these from Halo to actual individual sounds. I'll get to them all eventually.
  • All firing sounds converted to mono as to best support Source's digital sound processing.
  • ^-- As all sounds had to be altered for Source's DSP, some guns may be particularly overly-quiet, pretty please let me know which sounds are overly quiet & I will get on that.
  • Weapon pack split by generic faction now. Three addons total.

  • Updated sentinel beams to use the new forerunner disintegration effects which were introduced to the weapon in Halo 5.
  • Added marker to all audio which fixes spatialization in 5.1 & 7.1 speaker configuration from the gmod settings menu.
  • Fixed an issue with the ammo stations freaking out (best way to describe it).
  • Corrected plasma cannon's spawn icon to use the covenant background instead of a UNSC one (oops)
  • Added missing sound references for Reach DMR posing animations.
  • M6H / M6H2 now have more accurate crosshairs to their halo-game counterparts.
  • Needle Rifle textures upscaled from 1024 -> 4096, materials brought up to standard.
  • Scope masks converted from vmt & vtf to just use png files, saving on some filespace.
  • Redone tracer for the T51C (Halo 3 carbine)

  • Added serverside convar for Sandbox " sv_vhalo_smartlinks 0 / 1 ", used to turn on/off the ability to use smart-link holographic sights on weapons which utilize them. (Updates on respawn). For non-sandbox gamemodes, simply run this on the player: <player entity>:SetNWBool("VHaloSmartLinks", true) -- and set it to false again to disallow it.
  • Rebaked sentinel beam first person animations to ValveBiped properly because I was getting annoyed of seeing the broken fingers.
  • Plasma weapons & spiker changed to use physical projectiles.
  • Altered performance stats of various weapons utilizing physical projectiles to keep them in-line with the Draconic Base update which finally added spread to projectiles.
  • M7 SMG updated to use a looping firing sound.
  • M45D updated to use Halo 4 firing sounds.
  • Corrected textures of the T33-A Fuel Rod.
  • Updated T33-A Fuel Rod materials to utilize newer visual effects, bringing it up to par with the rest of the pack.
  • Updated SPNKR Rocket Launcher's materials. Now utilizes higher-resolution textures from Halo 2: Anniversary. Also updated the materials on it to utilize extended rendering features of the Draconic Base.
  • Updated Spartan Laser's textures & materials. I upscaled its textures and completely redid the materials to bring it up to standard.
  • Updated / Added a ton of (if not most) weapon selection icons. Things which previously had reused other, incorrect, icons now have their own. Icons which were previously too high resolution and became pixelated when downscaled have been lowered in resolution.
  • New tracer effects for all sniper rifles.
  • New & redone visual effects all around. Includes both upscaled & remade textures done by me.
  • Removed a bunch of old backup files I left in by mistake (oops)
  • Changed ammo stations to work off of global tables so that other SWEP authors can add their weapons to the usability of these entities.

Hotfix: Accidentally left the brute shot, concussion rifle, and plasma caster to now-invalid ammo types. I was testing using some custom ones before the update and forgot to switch these back.

Changelist
  • Added weapon: BR55 (higher-poly edit model & remade textures by myself)
  • Removed select-fire functionality from battle rifles, assault rifles, and SMGs to make them better match their Halo-gameplay. BRs now only burst, and ARs / SMGs now only have automatic. This is easily changeable for/by server owners.
  • Updated weapons to utilize Draconic's new bullet profile system.
  • Fixed the wrong texture being used on the M6D's bullet in first person.
  • Fixed some sounds cutting off randomly by changing which channel they are played to.
  • Plasma rifle is using an improved higher-poly model edit I made now.
  • Plasma rifle heat gauge now works / animates / blends like it does in the Halo games. (This will be done for the plasma repeater & plasma pistol at a later date.)
  • Converted a couple of normal maps to a compressed format to save some tiny amount of space.
  • Removed some duplicate files accidentally left in that were backups during development.
  • Removed HUD-related files in the addon which took a little bit of filespace which were in use by one server; to be uploaded as its own addon & not pad the size of this one for everyone.
  • Updated SRS99AM to use Halo 2 Anniversary Campaign textures.
  • Updated M6G (Reach) & Ma37 to use their higher-resolution textures from Halo: Recruit.
  • Changed the background of the spawnicons for UNSC from a random cave wall from Crow's Nest to the Anvil Station backdrop from Halo Online.
  • Changed the background of the spawnicons for Alien weapons from High Charity to the sangheili ship backdrop from Halo Online.
  • Removed mipmaps from all spawnicons, both to save space & prevent them from looking like ass on lower settings.
  • Cleaned spawnicons of white matte that bled in from the edges.
  • Referenced the other two battle rifle reload sounds in the sound lua, since somehow I never realized this entire time I forgot to do that.

Changes
  • Removed predefined NPCBurst settings so the new NPC burst period is properly utilized.
  • Updated worldmodel ammo counters so they function when NPCs hold them.
  • Updated silencer smoke particle to automatically adjust brightness so it won't be blinding in dark areas.
  • Changed weapons that normally dont have sights in Halo games to just have secondary disabled by default. RP server owners, just change SWEP.Secondary.Disabled from true to false. The ironsight positions from before are still all in the weapons just for you.
  • Updated plasma rifles to utilize the new RPM altering systems to match their climbing rate of fire like in Halo.
  • Added light glow to the energy sword.

  • Updated materials on the M45 so it looks like less ass on bright HDR maps.
  • Energy sword transparency sorting fix.
  • All magnum slides now behave realistically (pulled back when empty, slot forward when mag is inserted).
  • Fixed cubemaps on covenant ammo station entities
  • Changed bruteshot holdtype to physgun at the request of many people
