Minor Changes:
- Characters are now given old age traits as they progress in age. This should solve the problem of some characters living well into their hundreds.
- The 'Send this army on Crusade!' button now displays how many turns are left on the Crusade.

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed missing description text for the Crusader King trait.
- When the mission for the crusade is issued, it will check if a crusade is active and if so it will now abort the mission. This is to prevent the missions arriving a turn or two late after a Crusade has already ended since there is sometimes a delay if other events have triggered.

Actualización: 12 DIC 2020 a las 15:08

Minor Changes:
- The post-crusade mission 'The Push to Jerusalem' is now aborted if you switch religions.
- Your participation in a crusade is now immediately aborted if you switch religions, rather than on the next turn.

Bug Fixes:
- Added a check when decisions are added to ensure the decision has not already been added to your decisions list.
- Fixed a crash caused when AI factions take Frankfurt and the scripts try to transfer the region to a pretender.
- Fixed broken/invalid decisions for Poland and Serbia.
- Fixed some UI and faction selection bugs with the events generated for the Holy Roman Emperor.
- Fixed the mission 'The Push to Jerusalem' not succeeding if Jerusalem is taken. This fix also applies to some other missions such as the English mission to take Rouen.
- HRE Elections are now cleared when the first reform is passed that establishes the prince electors, meaning votes from non-electors prior to the reform will be invalidated and removed.

Actualización: 12 DIC 2020 a las 6:51

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed population applying to garrisons (may require a new save if your garrison's replenishment is disabled).
- Fixed the HRE election not firing consistently upon the death of the HRE emperor.

Actualización: 11 DIC 2020 a las 21:41

Major Changes:
- Added 'Ironman' mode with effectively the same save functionality as Legendary difficulty, but it is independent of difficulty and has extra autosaves for things like dilemma choices and war declarations. This feature enables custom non-Steam achievements for MK1212, of which there are currently 26.
- Added Region Trading for diplomacy.
- Added the Holy Roman Empire system:
- Attitudes: Factions within the Holy Roman Empire have a stance towards the emperor which will affect their behavior.
- Elections: The emperor must contend for the right of his descendants to keep the crown by balancing the opinions of his subjects. At the same time, any member state can become emperor if elected.
- Decrees: The emperor can enact decrees which can give temporary boons, though often at the cost of something else.
- Politics: Dilemmas, incidents, and rebellions will challenge the emperor's grip on their empire.
- Pretenders: If the emperor is excommunicated, the Pope may appoint a rival power as emperor, thus starting a war for the throne.
- Reforms: The Holy Roman Empire can be gradually reformed into a more powerful and centralized state.
- Added story events for the Holy Roman Empire and the Kingdom of Sicily.
- Crusades system revamp:
- Added a custom crusader unit recruitment system separate from standard recruitment and mercenaries, enabled for armies on crusade when in a region that is majority Catholic.
- Added traits and ancillaries that can be gained by both sides during a Crusade.
- Added support for scripted crusades that should now not have to be hardcoded into the system (the Fifth Crusade now uses this).
- Catholic factions that were at war with the crusade target before the crusade started will no longer automatically make peace with the target faction once the crusade ends, unless they deliberately join the crusade.
- Crusade length increased from 10 turns to 20 turns as the mod is now 2tpy. This should allow more time to participate in the crusade.
- Dynamic post-Fifth Crusade crusades are now supported, up to the Ninth Crusade, after which the system will end. These will select a random target from a weighted list of notable regions held by non-Christians.
- Excommunicated factions can no longer go on crusade.
- Increased the movement range buff for crusading armies from +75% to +100%.
- Major rewrite of the crusade system's code.
- Replaced the Fifth Crusade flyby with a video.
- Revised the Crusade's missions and dilemmas.
- Regions now have 10 building slots instead of 6.

Minor Changes:
- Added a decision for certain factions (such as the Ildegizids and Ghurids) to restore the 'Persian Empire'.
- Added a decision map for the 'Restore the Roman Empire' decision.
- Added a new challenge to the challenge menu: Judgement Day. In this challenge, the AI becomes extremely aggressive with an almost complete disregard for their own regions.
- Added a nickname system for characters. Characters can gain nicknames through events or through actions they take.
- Added conditions to forming Kingdoms & Empires that you must not be the current Holy Roman Emperor.
- Added support for custom videos (cutscenes) in the campaign.
- 'Annex Vassal' mechanic changes:
- Added a timer for the 'Annex Vassal' button. It will now show the turns remaining after vassalization before you can begin annexing a vassal.
- Expanded the system so that AI factions' vassals are now registered, and AI factions can now annex their vassals.
- Increased the initial delay for annexing vassals from 10 turns to 20 turns.
- Moved the 'Annex Vassal' button to the diplomacy menu and made the positioning of the 'Release Buffer State' and 'Join Crusade' buttons better in addition to giving them all holders.
- Newly vassalized factions will now make peace with the other vassals of their overlord.
- Transferred vassals of newly vassalized factions will now correctly be tracked by the vassal tracking system so that they can be annexed as well.
- Added the option to gift conquered regions to allied or vassal factions. This can be done via a button in the settlement occupation options menu (though do note this button will not appear if you have no allies or vassals, or if the 'Occupy' occupation decision is not available).
- Certain actions which affect Papal Favour will now notify that they do so in the tooltip texts of their buttons (i.e. executing Catholic captives, sacking Catholic cities). This does not show if your faction is already excommunicated, nor will the message events for these actions appear anymore if already excommunicated.
- Changed some of the frontend faction strength/weakness texts.
- Failing assassination missions given to you by the Pope no longer results in a loss of Papal Favour due to how difficult they can be to achieve. Additionally, failing declare war missions given by the Pope will also not cause a loss of Papal Favour since the target can be arbitrary.
- Increased the free upkeep time of the Mongol Invasion armies from 20 turns to 25.
- Increased the horizontal dimensions of the building browser to accommodate more building subchains.
- Increased the size of the unit information panel to accomodate more unit stats. In addition, the custom battle/multiplayer battle menu's unit information panel now has two columns of unit stats instead of one.
- Miscellaneous script changes for the mod's conversion to 2TPY.
- Papal Favour now has a small chance of increasing or decaying per turn based on the diplomatic relations between the Papal States faction and yours.
- Papal Favour now immediately deactivates for your faction if you convert to another religion.
- Popes now use their historical ages.
- Population system changes:
- Added support for technologies affecting population growth.
- Faction capitals now receive a 0.5% increase to population growth across all classes except tribesmen.
- Improved decimal point rounding for the UI.
- Removed the population loss penalty per point of negative public order, instead replaced by a 5% population loss across all classes in the region when a rebellion fires.
- Script optimization.
- Remaining hex-edited images for maps have been added.
- Renamed the Kingdom of England's level 3 dynamic faction name from the 'British Empire' to the 'English Empire'.
- The button for abandoning settlements is now disabled, though migration is still enabled for horde factions. The button for raising a navy is also disabled by a better and less buggy method.
- The mod now contains buttons that will open an invite to the MK1212 discord in your default browser.
- The 'This Is Total War' challenge now disables all story events except world events.
- UI improvements for the 'Buffer States' mechanic and decision maps.
- Updated the in-game mod credits.
- When launching the game, the scripts will attempt to verify that you have all required .packs for the mod enabled and in the correct order. If it detects anything wrong, you will receive a message in the main menu.

Lots of bug fixes but they go above the maximum character limit. Check our Discord for the full update notes!

- Fixed missing localised strings for the Byzantine Empire and Roman Empire. When I did a recent kingdom event scripts refactor I forgot to change the Byzantine Empire dynamic faction name numbers.
- Manpower should no longer be able to exceed the population of region. Now when population growth is applied, if manpower somehow exceeds its respective class' population, it will then be changed to the population number. From there, its growth will be reduced (see change below) until it is close to the 25% manpower to population ratio.
- When exceeding the 25% ratio of manpower to population plus some extra leeway, manpower growth will be slowed until it more closely meets the 25% ratio. (There is also a system in place to boost manpower growth should it fall behind the 25% ratio).

Actualización: 28 DIC 2019 a las 22:28

- New Formable Kingdom: The Kingdom of Italy.
- Added missing decision map faction icons for rebel factions. Separatist faction icons will come later since they require a lot of hex editing.
- Fixed an issue where converting from Catholicism to a non-Catholic religion would not get rid of your current Papal Favour effect bundle (applies the next turn).
- Converting to a non-Catholic religion will now fail the Reconquista mission the next turn if you have the mission.
- Spanish factions can now form empires irrespective of forming the Kingdom of Spain.

Actualización: 20 DIC 2019 a las 1:25

- Fixed invalid message event keys for joining the Albigensian Crusade as Aragon.
- Fixed an issue where various wonder effect bundles would display population information instead.
- Hopefully fixed some other related issues with blank messages.
