Added back Restaurant 2017 patch 2019. This map will be renamed to ph_restaurant_2017_v2.

Renamed map structure & reverted back of ph_restaurant_2014 to "ph_restaurant" (This is most widely used for Servers). The new updated restaurant will renamed as "ph_restaurant_2020".

A complete structure:

  • ph_restaurant (2014)
  • ph_restaurant_2013
  • ph_restaurant_2017old
  • ph_restaurant_2020 (newly updated)

Please note that currently my website is inaccessible so I do apologize if anyone was unable to access the old version of ph_restaurant 2019 patch update.

Quick Update 2020 #2:

Fixed Lighting with weird shadows. I reverted back to original VRAD compile parameter with original VRAD from SDK Base 2013. There was technically using a custom VRAD compile but it wont help anyways.

There should be no problem in future for now, have fun!

Update 2020 patch has been released. However, if there is any chance, the map will get updated in the future.

Please note that this map also includes legacy (old) versions and current new patch update map's name will be renamed back to "ph_restaurant" permanently. The previous 2019 update of ph_restaurant_2017 also has been removed. Read the full details below.

Update includes:

  • Fixed map environments effects: Corrected Fog Colors matching the ocean colour
  • Adjusted Sun lighting (a bit)
  • Updated Map Lua Helper.
  • Todo: Fix shadows on prop (vrad still acting weird for some reason)
  • Re-scaled some Lightmaps Tuxel on some brushes. Todo: Need improvements.
  • Changed few map layouts and added Fountain back ...from nostalgic stuff.
  • Rearranged some area a little.
  • Added Legacy (old) Maps. This will help Server owner for an easy way to host old version of the map with Workshop instead FastDL.
  • The current map update Will have their map file name renamed (and permanently) into: ph_restaurant. This include for those all previous versions will be renamed as well with a revision year post-fix.
  • Legacy Maps: ph_restaurant_2013, ph_restaurant_2014, and ph_restaurant_2017old (Original pre-2019 update).
  • Minor fixes for old version of 2013 restaurant: Fixed 'ERROR' that appear on the main roof.
  • ph_restaurant_2017 2019 update has been removed. If you want to get the map file back you can visit to this link: https://www.wolvindra.net/maps#oldmaps
  • To avoid confusion, if you'd like to use Night version (2019) of Restaurant: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1627575684
  • Approximately Compressed size download of this new update: ~100 MB.

Major Changes

  • Added Experimental Map Event control LUA code (This is important if you don't use automated server workshop (such FastDL and manual Workshop) and you need to copy to 'garrysmod/lua/autorun/' folder to enable it's feature.)
  • Changed Skybox Buildings
  • Extended Area: Ocean View, the fence can now be opened with a button.
  • Extended Area: New Room on the north, near Ocean View.
  • Now you can run on a circle of the map with the new extended room.
  • Improved optimisation (if you still get lags, try using multi core)
  • Changed light behaviour... : Now, see; I'm not sure what just happened with the lighting, due to my GPU gamma being weird which causes the lighting somehow become darker. Also using new VRAD compiler from Garry's Mod, maybe this could be a reason.
  • Repositioned some Spawn Points
  • Repositioned 1 Hidden button and Spawn Position for Easter Egg
  • Added some Teleport to prevent Unstuck Exploits

Layout Changes
Original layout for interior area are still being kept.
The only affected are on new extended area and some few exteriors.
Changed Skybox (a bit), however this might be sort of few 'immersion bugging' for some players, but this might be less noticable too much.

Side Notes
This will be the last development update of the Restaurant Map 2017 roll.
Any upcoming updates will continued on the 2019's version of the map instead.

Hotfixes update, including:
- Fixed Hiding spot exploit beneath Big Trees' Root
- Fixed Hiding spot exploit inside Truck's hull (which caused by bad collission mesh)
- Re-positioned single clip brush beneath truck's left wheel
- Fixed projector break behaviour
- Added 1 Big Burger; moved few other props to another
- Minor fixes and added clip brushes to some few unreachable areas

- Hotfixes that some models can go through to the walls
- Fixed clip brushes on the toilet
- Fixed door sounds that wasn't updated from previous version
- Added text notification for easter egg puzzle

Major updates & revision of the map has been launched today. Including:
- More props has been added
- Readjusted prop positions
- Added secret Easter Egg
- Weapon bonuses are now spawned in few, but it will spawn more if you solved the easter egg
- Readjusted and improved lighting technique
- Added more restaurant-styled, walls and more
- Doors sound are now fixed
- Bed model has been changed and bed underneath has been cliped
- Enhanced map optimisation, now it should be less laggy while playing
- Most props are now light and pick-able (weight-adjusted)
- Readjusted male bathroom position as well as mirror (due of optimisation issue)
- Visleaves are now more friendly and it should also increase the fps
- Removed big tables and changed more into fancy glass table
- Fixed some exploit and make them inaccessible (clip added)
- Retextured some walls into more matching & appropriate
- and many more fixes and enhancement.

- Fixed & Sealed "Loosen" Wall in the basement (not back to normal)
this was accident actually. I deleted it due of making 3D Skybox.
- Enhanced Fog & Lightings.
- Removed "Stone & Cactus" garden. Now it just replaced with Bushes.
