Dev Update Notes: The main update this week is adding a fascist path to the 1930 Spanish focus tree. The other update that many may not notice is the greatly improved quality of the portraits of the above listed people. To see a before and after, line up the current remastered portraits with the steam mod slideshow. Also added Thalmann but I want to wait to work on a German commy path until I have fixed a few other things.

Next Update: I expect to release the much requested German Communist Focuses Update on Friday (Feb 1st).

Dev Update Notes:
As you can see, the update from a few minutes ago is geared towards making Spain an interesting country to play in 1930. Basically, a what if scenario of Alphonso XIII abdicating to his son (historically the infante) but in this scenario the next crowned King Juan Carlos. The player is offered the chance to transition the monarchy into a strictly constitutional and reformed monarchy. I have had some interesting playthroughs vs Vichy France, Germany, et al. I hope that y'all enjoy it as well.

Dev Update Notes:
I took a break from frequent updating to get the 1933 scenario done. As usual the community reacted with the lack of drama and overstatement that has always endeared them to mod authors. I feel that the 1933 Scenario adds a lot of value to the mod as the year long focuses (about which I have heard a great deal) have all been completed by 33.


Up Next:
Grand Coalition - After you (hopefully) win WW2 as what ever nation you are. A coalition of the nations that are not in your faction is formed against you. This would be the basis of WW3.
More Focuses for more countries – The long-range plan is to have a specialized focus tree for every country, but that is definitely a long way off.

I am continuing to work on the focus trees for USA (Huey), Soviet/Democratic Russia, & Spain. FYI, there isn’t currently a way to remove the 3 added ideas from Spain. I am going to add a pathway (via Focuses) to a democratic monarch for Alphonso XIII, in which he rectifies the problems of Spain and is not exiled.

I am developing the "Destiny of Leadership" event chain for Russia. Essentially you are given the choice, following a dramatic event, to remake Russia into a democratic (barely playable, not complete) nation, a fascist (not playable) nation, or to embark on a new stalinist vision under new management (not playable).

As you will see above, it was suggested that a Github be started for the mod for interested parties to volunteer contributions if they feel inclined. I hope to set that up tomorrow and post the link.

I am reading the comments and the besides the (very) general desire for more/better focus trees, the main problem seems to be with the Soviet Union. I will deal with that next and hopefully present some interesting choices to you.
