Version 1.13 - Patch Notes


New Pet: Owlet
  • This baby snow owl can be spawned from The Summoning Stone, for 100 of any dino egg.
  • Carrying the Owlet gives the carrier a small healing-over-time buff.

New Item: Every Flavor Berries
  • Craftable in the Cauldron from berries and element dust, these Every Flavor Berries could be almost anything. Will it taste good? Will it taste bad? Who knows. =)
  • When eating Every Flavor Berries, the player will recieve a 10 minute buff that tracks their happiness/sadness percent. Good tasting berries will raise your happiness, bad tasting ones will decrease it.
  • The "happiness buff" acts as an XP multiplier. Extremely lucky eaters can get up to 2x XP earned, if they can reach 100% happiness. Good luck!

New Item: Arcane Ash
  • Arcane Ash is used as "ammo" for offensive spells cast from the Magic Wand.
  • Craftable in the Cauldron, Arcane Ash requires 1x Narcotic and 1x Gunpowder per Arcane Ash. (Crafts in sets of 10x for QoL reasons)
  • Arcane Ash can also be found from the bodies of slane Grave Guardian skeletons.

New Wand Spell: Knockout
  • The wand now has a new spell called "Knockout", which launches a green cloud towards your target, and then explodes dealing torpor to nearby players/dinos.
  • The amount of torpor delivered is INI configurable (admins can set different values for torpor against dinos, and torpor against players), and there's an INI option to enable/disable friendly fire.
  • This spell requires Arcane Ash to fire.

New Wand Spell: Zap
  • The wand now has a new spell called "Zap", which launches a bolt of electricity towards your target, and then explodes dealing damage to nearby players/dinos.
  • The amount of damage delivered is INI configurable (admins can set different values for damage against dinos, and damage against players), and there's an INI option to enable/disable friendly fire.
  • Does not damage structures.
  • This spell requires Arcane Ash to fire.

Bugfixes / Quality of Life / Polish
  • The Dwarf Toad can correctly eat food to avoid starvation.
  • The Skeleton Bartender can correctly eat food to avoid starvation.
  • The Skeleton Bartender can now correctly take damage.
  • Flying Brooms now check to see if the player is in creative mode, or if they have the "Deep Pockets" cheat enabled, when calculating broom emcumberance weight.
  • Alphy, Dwarf Toad, and Skulled Achitina have had their nameplate locations improved.
  • Alphy now has improved runspeed animations to match his body size.
  • Several typos corrected on various items/recipes.
  • The Candy Basket can now be used by everyone, regardless of tribe.
  • The witch laughes on from the Candy Basket "tricks" are now sourced from 100% authentic witches.

Version 1.12 - Patch Notes


Bartender Skeleton
  • Players can now summon a skeleton Bartender at the Summoning Stone, for a cost of 500x Chitin or Keratin
  • This Bartender was a cowboy gunslinger in a previous life, and now serves Bourbon to anyone willing to have a drink with him.


Dino Candy "Longrass"
  • The "Dino Candy Corn" item has been copied/improved from Fear Evolved, and renamed "Dino Candy Longrass" (Corn is Longrass in ARK, soooo, boom!)
  • Players can cook these candies in the Cauldron, at a cost of 1x Honey.
  • Improved the candy by displaying all of the color regions, even on the ascendent candies. (Fear Evolved candies would hide the color regions for ascendent candies, for some reason)

Version 1.11.1 - Patch Notes


Bugfixes and Updates
  • Players can now correctly access Alphy's inventory.
  • Alphy now does 3x damage against Skeleton creatures. (Puppies love chewing on bones, after all)
  • Graveyards have been updated, and confirmed to not conflict with the Fear Evolved bone piles. Both can spawn on/near each other.
  • Wild dinos will no longer aggro onto Flying Brooms, and will ignore them entirely.


Magic Wand - Configuration Options
  • The radius and intensity of the "Light" spell can be adjusted via INI config options (defaults shown):
    • WandLight_Intensity = 12.0
    • WandLight_Radius = 10000.0

Version 1.11 - Patch Notes


New Flying Broom - Hearthsweep
  • The classic witches' broom is here.
  • Can be crafted at the Cauldron once the engram has been unlocked.

New Flying Broom - Funtimes Party Broom
  • Made out of glowsticks and a bourbon barrel, this broom is a party waiting to happen. Just open it's inventory to get the party started. =)
  • Experimental: This broom allows for a 2nd rider. There will likely be tweaks to this in future patches, but feel free to play with it!
  • Can be crafted at the Cauldron once the engram has been unlocked.

New Dino - Alphy
  • Alphy is a baby Dire Wolf, just waiting for a good home.
  • Petting Alphy gives an AoE experience buff, similar to the Lystro.
  • Can be summoned from The Summoning Stone for 10x Simple Kibble (or better).

Optimizations
  • The graveyard spawner has been updated to ignore the Fear Evolved bone piles (structures) that spawn near players. Previously those bonepile structures could interfere with graveyard spawns.

Version 1.10 - Patch Notes

New Dino - Dwarf Toads
  • Every Witch and Wizard needs a good Toad companion. =)
  • The Dwarf Toad can be summoned at the Summoning Stone for the cost of 500x Raw Meat.
  • These Dwarf Toads can be carried on your shoulder, and are natural bug killers. While on your shoulder, they have a special attack that kills nearby insents (Ants, Fireflys, Insect Swarms, etc). For best results, set the Dwarf Toad to aggressive, and let him take care of annoying insects for you while you walk.
  • Each summoned toad comes with an invisible saddle item, so that they can be given costume skins.
  • Dwarf Toads are fully breedable (in water), and spawn with a large array of bright emissive Abberation colors.

New Item - Soulsight Orb
  • This item spawns for free in The Great Pumpkin.
  • Place the Soulsight Orb into the inventory of a dino, and activate it to transform the dino into a glowing ghostly version of itself.
  • The orb cannot be removed from the dino until it is deactivated (helpful when you want to drop or transfer-all from a dino, but want to keep the orb in the dino's inventory).

Bug Fixes
  • Updated the Flying Brooms to properly utilize the INI speed configurations without causing jerky/laggy motion while flying.
  • The "Carvable" Pumpkins can now be properly painted again.

Optimizations
  • The "Fog" effect from the Graveyards and the Fog Skull has been massively overhauled.
    • The total number of particles has been reduced by about 70%.
    • The fog now has proper particle level-of-detail settings, and will render fewer particles when the player is standing further away.
    • Updated the fog material to be less expensive to render. Note: It will still be laggy to spawn a bunch of these in the same location, so Fog Skulls are still limited to 3 nearby Fog Skulls.

Update: Summoning Stone
  • The Summoning Stone can now be placed on ground as well as foundations, and should no longer have problems being obstructed.
  • Updated the model slightly.

Bug Fixes
  • Recooked the mod to fix the octree overlap bug introduced in Gen2.

Version 1.9.1 - Patch Notes

New Creature: Zombie Dodo
  • Can be spawned from the Summoning Stone
  • Their eggs are disgusting, but oddly useful...

Optimizations
  • The graveyard fog has been tweaked to greatly reduce FPS lag.
  • The Mac/Linux files have been re-added to the mod. Happy gaming!

Bug Fixes
  • The "Firework" spell from the Magic Wand no longer leaves dead bottle-rockets when striking water, to improve server performance.
  • Graves are now properly searchable and lootable again. Graves must be searched before they can be looted.

New Features
  • Graves now have a "Destroy Grave" option in the grave's inventory, if you wish to discard bad loot and clear out the fog.

Version 1.9 - Patch Notes

New Item: Funtimes Skykeg (Flying Broom)
  • Same crafting costs as other brooms.
  • Can brew Bourbon in it's inventory.


New Item: Magic Wand
  • Left-Click to cast a spell.
  • Right-Click to switch to a new spell.
  • The wand will remember which spell is currently active.
  • Available Spells (more to come)
    • Light
      • Creates a sphere of pure light at the tip of your wand.
    • Fireworks
      • Conjures and launches a magical fireworks rocket.
      • Does no damage, will explode on players/dinos, and bounce off of solid surfaces.
      • Causes torpor to allied players (similiar to the Balloon). Will also wake up sleeping tribemates. Go fireworks dueling!


New Items: Candles
  • Provide a small amount of light, with a proper candle flame (not a mini-campfire).
  • Three versions available: Tall, Basic, and Short
  • Can be lit and snuffed out.
  • Can be resized in the multiuse wheel, like other decor items.


New Item: Floating Candle
  • Similar to regular candles, but can be placed in the air, and will gently hover up and down.


New Item: Skull Candle
  • A candle on top of a demon skull, with glowing eyes.
  • Can be placed on floors/tables, and also walls.
  • Contains many options in the multiuse wheel.
  • Skull Options: Human, Demon
  • Candle Options: Enabled, Disabled
  • Glowing Eyes Options: Enabled, Disabled
  • Adjust Size: Bigger, Smaller


New Item: Skull with Fog
  • A human skull that emits fog and earie music.
  • Can be activated/deactivated.
  • Only 3 are allowed in an area, due to framerate drops. Use sparingly.

New Dino: Skulled Achatina
  • This achatina has made it's home inside a skull.
  • Craftable at the Summoning Stone


New Item: Cauldron
  • The Cauldron is a new crafting station that contains all of the Witch/Wizard themed items:
    • Flying Brooms (all)
    • Candles (all)
    • Magic Wand
    • Bone Wyvern Skeleton Skin
  • This engram is unlocked at level 0 by default, and costs metal to craft.
  • Can be activated to show fire/bubbling-brew, but activation is not required for crafting items.
  • Will play "Double Trouble" music when activated (can be disabled in the inventory menu). Sound levels can be adjusted with the "Music" volume slider in the game menu.


New Item: Summoning Stone
  • Station for crafting creatures (more in future updates):
    • Learned at Level 1
    • Costs 600 stone.
    • Craftable in inventory.
    • Can Summon: Skulled Achatina (Costs 1,000 paste by default)


Updated Item: The Greak Pumpkin
  • The Great Pumpkin has been updated to contain all of the typical Halloween/horror themed items (skulls, coffins, etc)
  • Now contains new items:
    • Skull with Fog
    • Wooden Coffin
    • Skull Mound
    • Fresh Grave
    • Human Skull
    • Demon Skull


General Bugfixes / Balance Changes
  • Graveyards:
    • Grave Guardians are visible again (bug fix), and are much stronger and faster. Be prepared.
    • Graves must now be searched before they can be looted, which prevents players from clicking directly into the inventory to bypass the Grave Guardians.
  • Flying Brooms can be flown on Genesis again.
  • Many small updates/improvements behind the scenes.
  • Fixed a handful of exploits, you naughty monkeys.
