Hello Folks,

today's asset marks the 1-year-anniversary of my "Plattenbau School Type Erfurt double", which, back then, was one my most high quality assets.
But over the span of one year my models improved more and more, so it was time to give the school the rework it deserves.
Now I can proudly present you the reworked version, with better colors, more detailed textures, and generally higher detail. I also got rid of the "nobase"-shader, which turned up the specularity of the windows far too much.
The finished model should hopefully last another year or more before I deem it obsolete.

The depicted building is called a "Typenschule 1969", shortened to "TS69".
This design here was created in the city of Erfurt, where the most common East German school designs originated from.
The "4POS" part of the name indicates the number of classes per individual grade, so four full 30-student classes per grade 8, 9, 10 and so on.
POS, in this case, is not the abbreviation for a common English insult, but instead for "Polytechnische Oberschule" (polytechnic secondary school), so a school mostly focused on technic related subjects.

This building has basement classrooms which are under the terrain-level. To make best use of them, make sure to place the school on perfectly flat ground, otherwise the Surface Network will not work properly.
I'll later release a version of this building without the basement classrooms for better useability. I still challenge all detailers out there to use this version, it looks far better!

The school can be found under its name "ERF 4POS TS69 No.1" or alternatively by searching for "Plattenbau".
Part of the white concrete of the connector buildings is color-mapped.
The whole plot is 10x10.
None of the shown props (like trees, benches, trash cans) are part of the asset.
1440 high school students can attend this school, the stats are the same as the vanilla high school just multiplied by 1.44 to be proportional to the increased student count.

If you want a suitable sports hall, there's a small and large version in my workshop.

@Cpt. McSausage
I considered it, since there's a lack of Soviet/Plattenbau themed police stations, or infrastructure buildings in general. I haven't started on anything yet though, because there's still a ton of projects I have to finish beforehand.

Great stuff: are you considering doing any DDR Volkspolizei stations, maybe even the Stasi headquarters?

@alanda_b Thanks for pointing that error out, it should be fixed now!

It says, "Highschool," but in-game it comes up as an elementary school. FYI.
