Track has 2 cool ideas, that being the part where you can jump a ramp and then just drop onto the track at the end of a fork that merges and where you drop onto the track above you by stopping. The rest of it is pretty dumb and the 2 cool things do not save it, especially the invisible wall and the floor you fall through just kill this track. The long stretch of boring track at the end with no checkpoints was also dumb.
Most of the issues would not be as bad if there were checkpoints more often but the invisible wall needs to be removed.
Even if it's a Sonic remake the checkpoints should still be made to fit the Distance game.
Also, the bit before the end where its mostly just a simple road isn't very interesting so maybe make that a bit shorter.
1) Not enough checkpoints! You shouldn't have to retread tons of ground, especially before tricky stunts. Sometimes it's unavoidable because there are no upright sections you can place them on, but there are several very opportune places that need them.
2) There's at least one upside down checkpoint. In the red section. The checkpoint is on a section of track that's upside down, causing the player to respawn and immediately fall of the track. Getting back on the track requires some pretty tricky unintended carkour.
That being said, it's not all bad! I absolutely love the vibrant visual style, I really want to see this track again after some work is done on it. Feel free to stop by the Distance IRC and myself or others would be happy to lend you some pointers.
