Nuclear Fission Reactor Plant

Description
This mod adds a NUCLEAR FISSION REACTOR PLANT building

============================================================
NUCLEAR FISSION REACTOR PLANT

WORKS FOR BNW AND G AND Ks

A Nuclear Fission Reactor Plant provides +8 Uranium resources and +10 Production. It costs 20 gold in maintainence and you can only build this if there is a laboratory already built in the city. This is a national wonder.

============================================================

-- YOU NEED TO START A NEW GAME FOR THIS TO WORK --
Go to MODS --> Activate this mod --> Play the game with the mod.

This works with GODS AND KINGS. (It MAY work with Vanilla Civ 5, I am not sure . Why don't you try it and if it does work, then mention it in the comments).

IF YOU HAVE A MAC, you can make this mod work BUT it does take a fair amount of work to do so. Please visit http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=477763 It will explain how to do it. Or you could just try it the regular way; it may work, you never know.

=============================================================

If you want to modify the amount of uranium the building gives, etc, (after subscribing and downloading the mod) go to
C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Nuclear Fission Reactor Plant (v 3)\XML\Buildings

Then open CIV5Building.xml with notepad. Modify the <Quantity>4</Quantity> amount under <Building_ResourceQuantity>

revision 2 -- removed <MutuallyExclusiveGroup> tag
revision 3 -- TOOK FEEDBACK INTO ACCOUNT -- increased uranium from +4 to +6, increased production to +5 to +8, increased gold maintainence cost from 15 to 20, set limit of only two per civilization.
revision 4 -- took feed back into account again and ~~ now a national wonder, requires a laboratory in the city you build this, reduced maintenance to 15 from 20, increased cost from 750 to 1000, kept uranium the same (6).
revision 5 -- rebalanced, BNW compatible

+++

It always annoyed me that in many of my games, uranium would be no where near me and I would always hate that. Now, I've taken away the uncertainity as anyone can get +8 uranium by building this in their city

Like your work, it fits well into a collection of mods I have tried to gather or create to fit the revamp I had in mind below, Thanks!

please set the production from +8 to +15. I want you to do that because you said "now a national wonder" and the "Ironworks" is also a national wonder (medieval era, if I remember it right) and I consider this something far greater than Ironworks so you should increase the production to 15.

1000 cost on your screenshot, 670 in my game, my wonders cost 837. That's op, my capital do it in 2 turns, for the result it should take me at least 5 turns.

"This is a national wonder." maybe this is the problem. I use the mod "optimized national wonder scaling" link : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=112473206&searchtext=optimized+national+wonder+scaling

I'l have to disable your mod til you or the other author make it compatible.

Third on the "Uranium Enrichment Facility" name change.

Second on the "Uranium Enrichment Facility" name change. The current name makes no sense. Besides that, good work.

subscribed and have G&K but does not show up on the building list

You might want to rename this to something like "Uranium enrichment facility" or something, because when I clicked on this I initially thought "hang on, isn't there a nuclear plant building in civ 5 already?".
You might also want to add in an upgrade from this called a "fission breeder reactor". It's a real life kind of reactor that will actually create a little more usable fuel than goes in. Mabye you could have the initial wonder as something that only creates the fuel and then have the breeder reactors as mini versions of the wonder combined with a standard nuclear plant?

would be cool if this also gave some kind of penalty, like worse reputation, or if you could vote to outlaw or tax this building on the world congress, since it would let you build nukes after you complete it
