Lore
A major theme of the "Typhon Initiative" was building ships that delivered firepower with precision and speed. The latter requirement caused Phoenix to delve deep into one of its most abundant and readily available resources - Hydrogen. While plasma thrusters had been the mainstay of the Navy for years, being a reliable and very efficient technology that allowed ships to operate independently, they lacked the delta-V needed for high speed combat maneuvers.

Up until recent years, that had been of little issue, as Phoenix adopted artillery tactics, bombarding enemies with missiles long before they could retaliate. However, as civilizations began to enhance their own technologies and tactics, it was clear that standing outside an enemy's range was no longer a luxury Phoenix could rely on. Thus, ships began to see much a heavier usage of Hydrogen thrusters - a technology that, while not as effective as the ESC's nuclear thrusters or the CEU's anti-matter engines, had one distinct advantage over both: it was easy to produce, and Phoenix had more of the fuel available to them than anyone.

Naturally, the increased usage of Hydrogen called for an increase of logistical carriers for this very purpose. Thus, the Corvus was designed by PFS to deliver fuel to ships quickly and efficiently. Capable of keeping up easily with Cruiser classes and larger in the Phoenix fleet, and having a Jump range to match them as well, the Corvus is capable of getting to and serving any fleet at any time, and its tanks are enough to keep them going for days on end.

Good news I just shamed a person for taking this build and not giving credit.

there are only thrusters on the back, so no

Can this take off from planets and make it into space while loaded with hydrogen?

Will you ever release it?
Lord Commissar  [tekijä] 30.7.2017 klo 10.14
don't remember the specific reference, but i imagine i was referring to one yet unreleased

I meant that you mentioned a different ship while building the Orthrus. Is it not released or is this it?

Also, Lord Commissar is this the new ship you were talking about in the Orthrus building videos?
