Son Of Beast Resurrected(RMC Son Of Beast)

Frontier announced that in 1.4 that all wooden and hybrid coasters can now do all types of inversions. Expect a recreation of the classic Son of Beast after the 1.4 update.



In 1997, the Roller Coaster Corporation Of America was making plans to make a wooden hypercoaster with Kings Island. Son Of Beast was announced in 1999. The coaster broke 7 world records including being the tallest and fastest wooden coaster on Earth. Son Of Beast was also the first wooden coaster on Earth to have a loop, which was made with steel. During construction of the ride., the ride was delayed due to construction problems. As a result, due to the problems, before the ride opened, The Roller Coaster Corporation Of America was fired from Kings Island. The ride managed to open later in the 2000 season. The ride opened with 3 trains with 6 cars and 6 riders in each train with 2 riders per row and 3 rows were on each car. In 2005, one car was removed from the trains making it a 5 car train. In 2006, a accident occured with the structure being unstable and a train killed a lot of people. Son Of Beast was closed for the rest of the season. The ride reopened in 2007 with the loop removed to make sure the new lighter trains can not cause problems. The new trains were 6 car, 4 seat per car trains. Riders were arranged 2 each row. The ride continued to opperate until 2009, a girl hit her head due to the rough ride and the rde was SBNO(Standing but not opperating) Until 2013 when it got demolished. Today, the worlds fastest and longest inverted coaster, Banshee, which opened in 2014 has replaced the wooden hypercoaster. There is a gravestone to honor this ride. What if Kings Island kept the ride for another few years and Rocky Mountain Construction came in and stripped it's wooden track off and replaced it with steel track. The result would be Son Of Beast Resurrected. This RMC Hybrid coaster is the same height as Son Of Beast, 214 feet, with a slighly lower top speed of 75 mph(Son OF Beast was 78 mph), has 2 inversions, a Zero G Stall(place of the former 119 foot tall loop) and Zero G Roll(took place of 1 airtime hill before final turn), has a 85 degree first and second drop, and lots of highly banked turns.
