Broken Alarm Clock

Description
Budget cuts, and too many alarm clocks lost to explosions over the years, have led to a few corners being cut when it comes to clock procurement...

...like making sure they contain speakers.

The Broken Alarm Clock is a (very) simple mod, that removes the annoying/distracting/house-waking sound effects from the alarm clock. It still goes off, you just don't have to hear it any more!

I was excited because I thought this broke the snooze button on the alarm randomly. I guess I'm the odd person out.

I dont see the reason of removing the alarm clock, its anoying but its fun and a vital part of the game. Also is not like the alarm clock make you loose.... .-.

I see the point to "want to keep it the way it was intended" --- but MODs - per definition - change the way the game works away from the way it was intended. Therefore it's called a Modification.

However I like to have this Alarm in the game, so I'll use this mod rarely. But -- on the other hand, if I have more than one "Experts" around and the discussion is already loud and distractive this MOD is a good thing - - - and yes, also just to get it "back into the Game" on a round later on.

I would love to have the alarm Clock be a Random thing, not going off on each and every run... I'll just learn not to hear it...

I think this is a pretty great idea. The more ways you can customize your play experience the better, I'm fairly certain that is an objective fact for a game like this.

I can't come up with anything graceful and diplomatic I can say to make LeGeND be grateful.

Other than "Shut up and be grateful there's mods to make this game more challenging for you."

As someone who loves playing this game late at night with friends, I am very thankful that this mod exists. I agree that the alarm clock adds a lot to the tension and mood of the game, but I doubt my neighbors think it's worth it.

"I'd recommend not making mods that remove key parts of the game in the future" - Seems like you're trying to speak for the entire community there...

One could argue that 'Mod Selector' and 'Widget Expander' also potentially removes elements of the game, as it gives control over what can and can't appear in a random selection, and everyone gives 'Mod Selector' praise and don't tend to worry about the potentially restrictive nature of it.

Just because you don't think you'll use a mod doesn't also mean that it shouldn't exist. Some people may find a use for this in a legitimate sense; or they might not. The option is there for people to take up. If you're worried about it affecting competitive elements within KTaNE, there are much bigger fish to fry there before looking to this single distraction...
