[OLD LIVERY] 2016 Gillig Low Floor Airport Bus

Description
To Terminals, Rental Cars, and All Transit Connections

NEW VERSION HERE

This is the old version that is up only because of the livery difference. The new version contains more details, a smoother model, utilizes better textures, and is in my uniform livery.

Model Information

3662 Tris
1024 x 1024 Texture
Trim: Low Floor 40' Hybrid Bus

Original model[3dwarehouse.sketchup.com] by Mike P. on Google Sketchup, Reduced polys from 11762 (Sketchup has it wrong) to 3531, added hybrid backing from Matt Trimble's SMART buses[3dwarehouse.sketchup.com] Optimized hybrid portion. Retextured, remapped, and converted for Cities Skylines.

Stats are the same as the default bus. This bus is also similar enough to the Neoplan Transliner and the NewFlyer LF40 so I will not be making these. Use Advanced Vehicle Options Mod to change it to fit your needs.

This tris count is acceptable for buses. It shows up as yellow on Mesh Info Tool.

I love your vehicles. So many to choose from.

Great. If only there was a mod that restircts some buses from servicing some lines.

Perfect again for Kansas City, except, their airport shuttles use diesel buses, not hybrid buses. But this is still awesome!

Perfect for my Boston and LA hybrid city- Whitney. This IS the Neoplan bus they use on the SIlver Line.

@Jir, the NewFlyer invero looks a bit wierd in my opinion so I won't be making it. Also my vehicle timespan is from 2008-now, as a fyi. I hope you will enjoy the upcoming complete* set of Gillig vehicles, including an older electric trolleybus, the low floor (line color) with/without hybrid attachment, the 40' BRT, the 29' BRT, the hybrid 40' BRT, the hybrid 29' BRT with two types of rear lights, and the 40' BRTplus (still in work, not making a 29' version because the top takes too long to optimize, hence why the hybrid 29' BRT has two taillight patterns)

@ATLeow, Just fyi I'm making the Pierce Velocity atm :D And uhm, scale I usually just figure it out once its in game, I usually start small.and you can scale it up even in decimal increments.

The lighting is done in the game, the first thing I usually do is to generate the model and then make the textures. For me, I tend to keep everything without materials so I can easily tell when a normal is flipped (tends to happen quite frequently in Sketchup models, there is a black gash that I need to flip again and try to unify, only to find that it doesnt work properly)

UV mapping is easy with the software I use, but I seriously don't know how to do it in sketchup. We can chat about it as well :D

Rad.
I'd like to make one too come to think of it, but I don't even know if I can successfully make an asset yet and it'll be some time even if - fire trucks are easy only because they're so square and I have manufacturer drawings - Pierce is great for this. I've no idea how to use Blender and haven't UV mapped in ages (tbh, haven't even begun to think of lighting, etc) but...Sketchup is so addicting. Do you know if people generally use a 1 tile:8m or 1:8.33 for scale?
