South East Boxcar Pack

Description
A pack of eight boxcars from railroads of the USA's South East, from 1932-1980.

Included:

Florida East Coast (1932 - no end)
Gulf Mobile & Ohio (1938 - 1972)
Atlantic Coast Line (1932 - 1967)
Louisville & Nashville (1932 - 1982)
Norfolk & Western (1932 - 1980)
Southern Railway (1932 - 1980)
Seaboard Air Line (1932 - 1967)
Virginian Railway (1932 - 1959)

Stats are similar to the 1945 boxcar, except that it is heavier on account of being made of steel instead of aluminum as TpF claims.

Addendum. I also renamed the xxx_boxcar_diffuse.dds files in /res/textures/models/vehicle/waggon/

Regards.

Hey donoteat, thanks for the mods you provided on the workshop.

I also had a game crash when trying to do an in game purchase for any car in this mod.
I am running linux and it would appear that there is an issue with case sensitivity.
The error message stated "cannot open res/models/mesh/vehicle/waggon/sal_boxcar/lod_2_body.msh"

When I looked in .steam/steam/steamapps/workshop/content/446800/922048110/res/models/mesh/vehicle/waggon I found the boxcar folders but they were all capitalized, SAL_boxcar for example. I renamed them to lower case as well as the .mtl files in /res/models/material/vehicle/waggon to all lower case and it now works.

Regards.

I, too, would love to see a 40' gondola car, preferably a composite type (wooden with steel framing).
A 34' Covered hopper is another sorely needed car type for the "trasition" era (1940's-50's) which is the most popular railroad era.
"Cotton Belt" (St. Louis SouthWestern), Kansas City Southern, Texas & Pacific, Missouri Pacific, Illinois Central, Frisco, and Rock Island all had several thousand cars of these types.
Your "mods" show the ultimate in quality, as well as being very USEFUL. Thanks again and please keep up the EXCELLENT WORK! -"Tall Paul"

OP, great work on these boxcar mods. I wonder if you update with new liveries sometimes? If so, a humble request to add a Cotton Belt scheme (nickname of the St Louis Southwestern). Also, I note you haven't done a gondola car mod. If you ever do, would love to see the Cotton Belt included (the silver/grey car with large black Cotton Belt lettering).

The SSW operated heavily in East Texas when I was a kid. My grandparents lived right on the tracks in a little town on the Tex-La border. I remember every day seeing long trains of Cotton Belt boxcars and gondolas roll by. It was a busy freight line in those days.

The blue "florida east coast" boxcar causes a LUA error when you try and add it to a train.

Excellent work on these 40'steel boxcars. The late steam / early diesel era is the most popular era and needs a LOT more choices of equipment. THANK YOU for adding these to our games.

--Do you plan on a "Southern" boxcar Pack? Maybe Kansas City Southern, Louisiana & Arkansas, Texas & Pacific, St. Louis SouthWestern, Illinois Central, Missouri Pacific, Katy, Frisco, Rock Island, etc. Thanks again

@donoteat I would gladly paste a link to the log file here if you could point out where it is stored. Had a quick look through [.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Transport Fever/] and could not find any.

@downincognito, i don't have a steamOS capable device unfortunately, so i'd need those log files to be of any help

Hello. Running SteamOS and when deploying this beautiful mod my game hard-freezes to the point of needing a full re-boot to recover from. Can send any log files needed if desired.
