Description
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
!!!! Caution !!!!
Beta Release.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This mod adds an item, which needs to be equipped as an costume. Once you equipped the costume and build the Genetic Transmitter, it is able to change the following:

- Increases speed of (ridable) flyers automatically by every LevelUp.
- Makes (ridable) flyers be able to walk backwards
- Changes rotation radius by INI-Option (without Option nothing is done here)
- Changes stamina-consumption by INI-Option (without Option nothing is done here)

How does it work
1. Build and place a Genetic Transmitter (only one per team/tribe needed)
2. Equip the Genetic Implant or any Bone Costume, which also implements the Implant functions

=> The Implant waits 2 seconds before starting to do anything.
=> If the dino, which equipped the Implant, ISN'T a ridable flyer and there is no INI-Option set, then the implant does nothing.
=> If the dino, which equipped the Implant, IS a ridable flyer and there is no INI-Option set, then increasing of speed still works but uses default values.

What does ridable flyer mean
In this case it means all dinos based on the ridable flyer class inside the devkit. This class seems to be the one, which disbales the ability to level up speed on flyers.

Oh i totally missed the genetic transmitter, that should be the problem, thank you for your fast answer :)

Should still work. But also still has some bugs.
You need to build an Genetic Transmitter in order to make the implants work. If it is working the speed percantage (stats of dino) of the ptera should go up.

Hey, is this mod still working? we equipped our pteranodon with the implant (as costume), but he isn't able to walk backwards, not sure if he is faster too

we didn't changed/added anything in the GuS for this mod

Hello nice Mod but is there some option to hide the engramms in the game.ini?
Lao Nov 12, 2017 @ 2:43pm
Thanks McBane. I'll try to tweak that for my mod.

@ุLin Jein: One time I saw this as well. But even if it's related to this mod, I'm not sure why this happens.

@Lao: It's not working because "DinoCharacterStatusComponent_BP_Phoenix" isn't a child of "DinoCharacterStatusComponent_BP_FlyerRide"
Lao Nov 12, 2017 @ 2:55am
@McBane, I'm trying to make the Phoenix in my mod compatible with Genetic Implant. as far as I can tell, the Phoenix is a rideable flyer. Its speed is locked, it's flagged as a flyer in the devkit, etc. However, the implant won't increase the speed. It will allow us to change the rotation, but not the speed. Any thoughts?

Also, like Lin said, some birds tend to become dumb with the implant in them. If set to follow or attack, they'll fly off in a straight line :(

Hello @McBane, our server has been having a problem with Griffins with genetic implants basically fleeing from their owners when on follow. Have you heard about such an issue?
