Reclamation - Rising Seas

Description
Reclamation - Rising Seas
The seas kept rising, so much so the district had to start a massive sea reclamation project. The original cities were lost and were rebuilt from scratch. They were all named in memory of cities lost underwater, historically and in legend, if only to serve as a reminder to all future generations.

Of course, the primary industries themselves were still on the remnants of the mainland and only the highest level fabrication was bought to the new lands. The farming region was given to the only arable land left in the east. You can still source stone from the original quarries - blasted from the mountain range - where most of the rock and rubble was sourced to reclaim the surrounding ocean.

Desperate times? Desperate measures? Not now. You're here. Better get in there and secure their future.

NOTES
- This is a players map. It's 4k, entirely fictional.
- Only 6 cities exists, all on the reclaimed area and it's as flat as a pancake.
- 2 each of primary resources, 1 each of tier 1, 2 & 3 VA industies - all logically placed.
- DIfficulty is relatively easy, slightly tougher late game.
- Tested from 1850. Tested all industies to $35b with all 6 cities at 2.5k+ pop' each. (see images)

BEST PLAYSTYLE
- Early game? There's water and lots of it. Great way to play until you can build big.
- Later, really long bridges and 1km long stations and trains.
- Massive freight hub flat areas.
- Map best suited to EU style although US is OK.

RECOMMENDED MODS
- Long stations mod. Map plays very well with very long and wide freight hubs (see images)
- Extra vegetation mod for the pretties
- I used the concrete bridges mod in testing. Very attractive builds.

IMPORTANT
- Connected roads MUST be off or game will ignore all but 1 industry (which you may even prefer).

INSTRUCTIONS TO TURN OFF CONNECTED ROADS
- Go to <your Steam folder>steamapps>common>Transport Fever>res>config
- Open and edit the file "base_config.lua" and change this line to ensure it reads false
- makeInitialStreets = false
- Save and exit.

I think that's about it. If you're keen to know about the city names (they're real), wiki/google them for some interesting reading.

Sorry Sonio, I'm not sure what you're asking?

@Silky. Where's the 16 x 16 Reclamation?

@Oldhip. Even when those "horrible straight edges" are deliberately part of the maps actual reason to exist?

This must be the worst map I have ever seen with all those horrible straight edges.

To be honest, @Silky Rough, if you've got Industry Tycoon with New Industry, it's not a major deal.

Oh thanks, made my day!! Love your maps!!! Beside the maps of lightnin, its the only ones so far that let me build interesting challenging transport networks.
