Napoleon at War - Mediterranean Kingdoms Expansion (V2)

Description
Napoleon at War: Mediterranean Kingdoms Expansion (NAW-MK) is a Civilization V Modification that allows a player to relive empire building on an even grander scale across Europe in the early nineteenth century. The basic game mod ("Napoleon at War", or NAW) is required to play this expansion. For more information, consult that mod and its associated game manual:

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=857540676

Playable Civs:
- Regency of Algeria, led by Mustahpa VI
- Eyelet of Egypt, led by Ibrahim Bey
- Papal States, led by Pope Pius VII
- Kingdom of Portugal, lec by Maria I
- Kingdom of Sardinia, led by Victor Emmanuel I
- Kingdom of Two Sicilies, led by King Ferdinand III
- Grand Duchy of Tuscany, led by Grand Duke Fernando III
- Kingdom of Italy (Venice), led by Viceroy Eugene de Beauharnais

Included Maps:
1. War of the Fourth Coalition (1806-1807). This map is similar to one of the same name in the basic "Napoleon at War" mod. The Mediterranean Kingdoms have been added, replacing the City States of the same names in the original map. Additionally, all nations are at peace, with the exception of France and the United Kingdom – who remain at permanent war. The game lasts longer than the original 1806 map, to give these smaller kingdoms more time to attempt to compete with their much larger rivals.

2. The Battle for Italy (1797-1798) NEW! This map depicts the situation on the Italian peninsula in 1797, at the trailing end of the War of the First Coalition, when Napoleon was beginning to exert more and more influence in both French political and military circles. Italy offered him the chance to push back Austria from French borders and perhaps end the war – if they could be beaten severely enough. The map has 9 playable civs: Algeria, Austria, France, Ottoman Sultanate, Papal States, Sardinia, Sicily, Tuscany, and the United Kingdom. The main struggle for supremacy in the game is between Austria and France, as it was historically.
Features:
* Custom Victory Conditions: Each map has a Custom Victory Condition, based on the needs of the scenario.
&emsp- War of the Fourth Coalition: Control the most capitals at the end of the game (turn 260). Major capitals (London, Paris, Vienna, Berlin, and Moscow) count as much toward victory as 5 of the minor capitals, such as Madrid or Rome. If there is a tie, the player with the highest game score wins.
- The Battle for Italy: The player who controls the most Italian cities at the end of the game wins. The Italian cities that count toward victory are Cagliari, Florence, Naples, Palermo, Rome, Turin, and Venice. If more than one civ controls the same number of Italian cities, the player with the highest game score wins.
* Sixteen new buildings (2 unique for each player civ).
* Normal NAW game features, such as National Promotion, Economic Handicap and the modified Tech Tree are used in this mod as well.

TL;DR
* Napoleonic Era struggle to dominate Europe (1806-1811 AD)
* Eight new Player Civs (Algeria, Egypt, Papal States, Portugal, Sardinia, Two Sicilies, Tuscany, and the Kingdom of Italy), in addition to the original game's seven (Austria, France, Ottomans, Prussia, Russia, Spain, and United Kingdom)
* Sixteen new buildings (2 unique buildings for each new player civ)
* Two new maps:
- Large "Strategic" map: The War of the Fourth Coalition (revised for MK)
- The Battle for Italy

Acknowledgements: This mod is completely built around showing off the great artwork of JFD & janboruta for the civs of Egypt, Papal States, Sardinia, Sicily, Tuscany, and Venice. Also thanks to DJSHenninger for the Algerian artwork), and to Sukritact, Leugi, Chris Sifniotis, Pouakai for Tuscany.

A lot of this artwork is not specifically set in the Napoleonic Era, but as I am not sure how many people would be interested in this mod, I didn't want to put a lot of effort into something I'm not especially good at unless it's needed.

FYI - I've FINALLY found some time to work on the NAW mods. Am working on adding the Battle of Eylau map, and possibly Marengo and/or Ulm to the main NAW mod.

On the expansion mods, I'm also working on the Battle of Dennewitz and a smaller version of the Battle of Leipzig (Germanic Nations), the Peninsular War (Mediterranean Kingdoms), and the Russo-Ottoman War of 1806 (Ottoman World).

The maps are time consuming to build, even more time consuming to test, but I hope to have some more content for the mods release in the next 2-3 weeks. Thanks!

@Jmoney - are you using BNW or an earlier version of the basic Civilization V game? About the only thing anyone at civfanatics mentioned was that BNW scenarios played on a vanilla version of the game can crash during battles. Other than that, I have no idea what's causing your crashes.

@Jmoney - I'm sorry - I've tried for a few days but still can't duplicate the errors you're seeing. I'll turn this over to the civfanatics.com experts and see if they can offer some suggestions.

@ niogtredve - what other mods are you playing with? There will be a conflict with any mod that replaces the games original "UnitFlagManager.lua" file - like this one does.

Try clearing cache then starting Civ V and only play with the NAW and the NAW-MK expansion and see if you get the same behavior.

Hey author, I really enjoy this mod but I am having a problem with the unit emblems (or whatever they are) When I play I can't see the sign that is over the units, i'll put a Gyazo here just in case. I only experience this when I play your mod, so I ask you for help @S-Man I use all the NAW mods by the way

S-Man  [author] May 15, 2017 @ 3:51am
@Jmoney - wow - sorry you're having problems. I've never seen that behavior before. What other mods are you using?
Boogers May 14, 2017 @ 5:30pm
@S-Man yeah thats correct its just all the maps that have naval fights in them inclusing the ones you listed. thanks :)
S-Man  [author] May 14, 2017 @ 1:51pm
@Jmoney - naval battles, like "Trafalgar" and "Nile"? Or the Wars of the Coalitions?

And if I understood you right, it means that the map works fine until the first ship takes the first shot? Thanks.
