Click and hold the mouse button to begin absorbing the stars and firefly streamers. You can customize the wallpaper using the transparent gear icon that turns green on the top-right (see screenshots).

You can enable/disable a bunch of the visuals, and adjust the volume to zero for all sound effects if you'd rather things be quiet from the options panel. You can even change the text from displaying the time, to whatever you'd like to type into the field instead.

Enjoy! Please let me know if there are any issues or if you have any suggestions through the comments below. I'd love to hear your feedback.

Key Features:
  • Real-time interactive particle simulation.
    Move your mouse around to create a sparkly trail and click to generate the "Gravity Clock".

    Featuring a live-generated version of the Plexus effect (like the plugin for After Effects).

    This is NOT a video. It's an actual simulation of what you see (and hear) on the screen!

  • Fully spatialized/binaural 3D sound with procedurally animated positioning.

    Listen to calming waves and rain against the backdrop of a surreal soundscape that moves around your head. You can hear when the sounds are above you, behind you, in front of you, etc. Great for relaxation!

  • Total control and customization.
    Customize the screen to fit your mood.

  • Your mouse makes noises as you fling it around the screen. The sound it makes changes based on how fast you move it, where it is on the screen, and is fully 3D.

  • Adjustable simulation speed. Particles going too fast? Doesn't fit your calm mood?
    Adjust the speed manually!

  • Customized title text! You can set this to your name, or whatever else you want.
    You can even replace it automatically to show the current time from the options panel.

  • Lots of settings and features to customize so you can make it your own.
    Changes are saved automatically so if/when you restart, you're back where you left off!

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions):

How do I customize the wallpaper? Sound volume, background sky, etc...

There's a transparent gear icon on the top-right of the wallpaper. Hover your mouse over it and it will light up green. Clicking this will toggle the options panel which contains all the settings you can play with. Note that there are multiple tabs organizing similar options and that setting are saved automatically so you don't need to adjust them next time you load the wallpaper. Watch the video to see how this works.

Look at this image for reference: LINK!

I want to turn of the mouse particles and/or change the background display.

The main tab has a checkbox for the mouse, as well toggles for other settings.

This wallpaper is eating up my CPU and/or it's lagging! What do I do?

For lower-end computers, there are several performance options that can be tweaked. Try changing some of the settings in the performance tab (turn off post-processing, lower the target FPS, etc.).

Clicking the gear icon doesn't open up the options panel. How do I get it to work?

Exit out of Wallpaper Engine completely and start it again. It should work after that. I'm not sure what causes this...

if anyone was wondering how to get rid of the text if you wanted to, go to the settings, text, uncheck "Replace Text w/ Time Display", then where it says gravity box above, delete all of that text.

@Pawiczekk

Yeah, sorry about that. I'm aware of the issue and I'd like to fix it, but I'm currently taking a break from Wallpaper Engine stuff while I wait for approval for my curated submissions.

@bbobovski

You can attenuate the audio channels from the options gear icon. It's on the top right (see second screenshot for reference). When you click that, the options panel will open up, and then you can just go to the audio tab.

When I have seconds turned on the symbols on the time display turn into triangles and flicker until the time updates, is it possible to fix this?
