The Tropicana Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas Strip

This here is the famous Tropicana Hotel & Casino from the Las Vegas strip. It is from my Las Vegas Strip park build. Now that they raised the limit on blueprints, I can finally upload some of these buildings! It is owned and operated by Penn National Gaming and is a franchise of Hilton's DoubleTree chain. It offers 1,467 rooms and a 50,000-square-foot gaming floor. Tropicana Las Vegas also has 72,000 sq ft of convention and exhibit space.

The Tropicana features the comedy club The Laugh Factory along with many fine dining restaurants including Biscayne Steak, Sea & Wine, Bacio Italian Cuisine and Robert Irvine's Public House. The Tropicana was built in 1955 and is one of the oldest casinos on the strip. The 21-story Island Tower was constructed in 1986.

The resort has had many different owners over the years including chemical heiress Mitzi Stauffer Briggs. A skimming operation by Kansas City organized crime members was discovered in 1979 and Briggs was forced to sell out. In addition to the casino, the Tropicana includes a large swimming pool, tropical landscaping, waterfalls and an outdoor bar. A historic wedding chapel that seats up to 100 guests is also on the property.
