After 3 years of development, we are pleased to present our beloved map "Lythium".

Description
The map replicate the tribal areas of Afghanistan, crossed by a large valley that runs over the map. You will find two main cities, aside from the villages or smaller towns, both oriented on north and south of the map with their respective airfields. The map name comes from the main route linking those two provinces in which all the operating of the Spanish armed forces in Afghanistan took place between 2002-2015 to secure the route between Badghis and Bala Murghad.

    Characteristics
  • Two airports with ther respective bases located at North and South.
  • The main base "Regimiento44" has it's own training camp.
  • Four towns at Northwest, Southeast and South where you can enjoy as well.
  • Five main valleys all around the map.
  • Road network interconnected throughout the map.
  • Three little FOBs located into the North and central zone.
  • Many small rural areas and villages spread over several points of the map.
  • And many things to be discovered...

    Author notes
    Pay special attention when patrolling in the north of the map, it is quite dangerous ... :)

One of the best desert themed maps for Arma3 in my opinion. 3 years of work means a lot of effort and details were put onto this map. Well done guys.

Hey great mod but is it possible to make the bikey different for lythium so it doesn't conflict with the FFAA Spanish armed force's mod in Arma3 launcher.

Done some more testing. The night/sunset lighting is a whole new level. The lighting change with overcast levels and time is amazing. Please tell me this is achievable for other maps too:)

Hi. I think you shall make a separate mod on clouds/overcast. The clouds and overcast levels are amazing, they are both natural and dark, not stupidly bright like in vanilla.
I also enjoy the skybox with cosmetic highet altitude clouds.

Any chances for such an addon? Or tips on how can I achieve these results for other maps?

For nightvision fix you can potentially try client side "CH Bright Nights" it works for my guys on Anizay. cheers.
