N.S51 Falmouth Branch Truro to Penryn

Description
Class 35 towing a Class 35 to Truro shed, and then take cattle and goat wagons to Penryn.

Route: Falmouth Branch
Duration: 26 minutes
Scenario: Standard
DLC required besides route:
Riviera Line in the 50s (Exeter to Kingswear)
BR Class 14
BR Class 35
BR Class 52

Midday nr Truro, on a warm 1964 Summer day.

Starting at Penwithers Junction, wait for a couple of trains, and then take the Class 35 to Truro shed.

Truro shed now has some stored steam engines ready for withdrawal.

Having dropped off your class 35, go through the Truro yard to pick up your cattle and goat wagons. Wait for a Penzance bound express, at a ground signal at a crossover before exiting the yard, and then off to Perranwell and then Penryn.

You will be severely tested on this run, because the brakes of a Class 35 are not good. Steady continuous braking before going downhill on the severe gradients is recommended. Staying a few mph under the speed limit just before going downhill is best.

It is a great route I agree. It has some signalling issues unfortunately, but other than that great. Cheers robmerlo.

Yet again an excellent scenario Not.Silent with plenty of challenges. What a sad sight at the end of the steam locos waiting to be towed away to be scrapped!! Brought a tear to my eye!:steamsad:

Hi again NS,
Wanted to try this but don't have Class 14 and its associated assets.
Tried editing with latest version of "RW Tools" but having problems.
Never mind, will have to pass on this one, but I'm sure you will have NS52 available soon.
