Archon Race Mod

This mod brings back the Archons as a playable race! Pick your class, choose your specialisations and prepare to lead those ancient warriors of light into combat!

– adds a fully fleshed out new race to the game: the Archons
– adds 7 new archon leaders to the leader pool (one per class)
– adds 14 new archon heroes to the hero pool (one per gender/class combination)

– racial defense building (still uses the human one)
– city & fortress names

– hero professions extension

– the mod may interfere with other mods on many different levels
– it is compatible with all my existing mods, though of course all of the racial features of those mods don’t exist (yet) for the Archons (see future plans)
– an extension of the racial heritage mod for the archon race is now online!:

Any plans to update this further and make it compatible with your hero professions mod? Even if, just for now, I was thinking maybe they could get Gladiator/Knight from Orc/Human, Pyromancer from Goblin, and the third is a little tricky. The best fit would be Shadowblade from the Elves. With a few changes it could work.

If your still around, maybe you could release the raw files and I could do this myself?

I noticed the lack of chariots that people talked about... and i had a sort of solution.... what if you replaced the archon manticore riders (t4 warlord) with charioteers?

So I was wondering about the Archon Avengers. With thier elite level ability turning them into an archangel for the duration of the battle. Every time I use this ability the Avenger dies on the campaign map. I was under the impression that it was like the Tigran's Warepanther ability. Was that just a glitch or intended? If it was inteded, could the death part be added to the description? I was sad about losing that elite rank unit just for ability experiment.

Is there any chance of getting an update to work with Hero Developmen/Professsions similar to the one you made for Heritage? My group has always really liked this mod but we also use Dev/Prof so we haven't been able to include Archons. I mean, the game will run, it just can't be played in terms of balance. Anyways, thanks for all your mods, they have become the foundation for our AoE3 experience.

these doont eve look like archons, they just look like reskined high elves, dissapointing
