Play as Samael, the angel of death.



The classic melee character from 2017! Attack with your scythe by tapping any direction. Holding a direction charges up a projectile for situations where you need one. Either way, dealing damage charges up Samael's pocket active "Malakh Mot", which when activated will give you a brief period of invincibility with faster, automatic melee attacks (no need to mash anymore!) so you can get in a flurry of melee attacks against enemies that are difficult to approach.



Tainted Samael still has his scythe, but lacks Samael's standard charge-up ranged attack. His pocket active, "Memento Mori", places a sigil on the ground. Up to five sigils can be placed, drawing out a path. Double-tapping the button for "Memento Mori" will trigger an invincible attack where Samael slashes backwards along the path of the sigils, damaging all enemies in his way. Each slash in a sequence is stronger than the last, so try to catch a boss between all 5 sigils for massive damage! You shoot a projectile when the attack finishes, so in a pinch you can fire at enemies from a distance in a "slingshot" fashion.

Tainted Samael is locked by default, obtainable via the standard tainted character method. But if you'd like to unlock him manually, you do so using Samael's in-game options menu (press C or F1 by default) or by using this console command:

This mod now features built-in completion mark tracking and over 20 unlocks!

Samael's completion marks can be viewed on the pause screen, or in Samael's in-game option menu (press C or F1 by default).

If you've already had your fill of non-tainted Samael, you can give yourself all of his completion marks using this console command:
Note that this command does NOT give you any of Tainted Samael's completion marks or unlocks!

If you want to have ALL of this mod's items unlocked by default, or disable them entirely, you can do so via Samael's in-game options menu (press C or F1 by default).
