They are trying to make the game as realistic as they can. Laser weapons would just require way to much energy for it to be reliable; they would to recharge after every shot, just like the Jump Drive block.

if only they would make laser weapons a part of the game without mods

Vanilla only, vanilla works because mods need to be changed, vanilla works because vanilla doesn't change, it expands; whereas mods need to be updated in order to work, and even then, they don't always work.

Thanks for your answer Legotyler. I´m very interested in a "sneaky peak" because i´m trying to build my own, dead accurate 1:1 scale Venetor right now and I need every bit of inspiration (and maybe help :) ) I can get. I especially like your hangar desingns. I know Panurga already built a 1:1 scale Venetor but I don´t really like the look of it and the number of mods it uses.

This is an older blueprint of what it is right now. The screenshots are meant to be "teasers" to see if anyone is actually interested. A second blueprint will be uploaded however, being the complete and finsished model. I use zero mods accept for the SixDice lighting mod: "LAZARUS EFFECT", I believe. I am near completion if you would like to have a sneak peak, you may ask and I will think about it.

In the screenshots there is a door for the main hangar. Is it not in the Blueprint yet, or is it because of mods?
Ps: Plllsssss add the back engines!
