[ MISC ]
– Users who reached Global General Rank and elect to get their Service Medal will now see a preview of the Service Medal before they receive it. This allows users to see if they will be getting the Service Medal upgrade or a new 2018 Service Medal starting from January 1st GMT.
– Added support for Ukrainian and Greek languages including localization of Steam Community Inventory items.
– VDM files are now loaded with support for escape-sequences in string values. VDM can now use \” to pass quoted parameters in PlayCommands factory, and must use \\ to escape Windows path separators.

-Made bomb plant and bomb defuse sounds more audible with sound occlusion on.
-Fixed an exploit that allowed ambient sounds to be completely disabled.

[ MISC ]
-Re-enabled SSE4 optimizations for string tables and added -nosse4 command line option to disable SSE4.
-“find” console command now allows specifying multiple search strings. For example, “find decal r_” will find commands and variables that contain both “r_” and “decal”.
[ AUDIO ]
– Improved performance of 3D audio. Positional audio is much more responsive when turning quickly.

[ War Games ]
– Players can now select from 3 maps during end-of-match voting in War Games.
– Added convars controlling end of match voting setup to simplify management of War Games community servers.

[ Misc ]
– Server HTTP log delivery will now have correct timestamps on log lines which occured before the remote listener was registered.
– Smoothed out game server hitching when a new player connects and downloads initial game state.
– Fixed occasional crash affecting official game servers.
– Fixed the extra 3 second delay in GOTV+ broadcast in some cases.
– SSE4 optimizations in network string tables to reduce server hitches on connection of new player.

– Matchmaking now uses the Trust Factor by default. In the short term, players with Prime status can still choose to match using the old system.

– Increased overall luminance 20% for all Kasbah materials and models for visibility.

– Fixed flashbangs not blinding player through chain-link fences.

– Streamlined audio settings so players have a consistent experience. Replaced HRTF and occlusion-specific settings with an option to disable 3D audio effects, to allow compatibility for players who have conflicting audio processing occurring on their audio hardware.
– Added a voice_player_volume console command which can be used to adjust voice volume on a per-player basis.

[ SOUND ]
– Added a new audio occlusion model for CS:GO ( disabled by default ). This new occlusion model much more realistically simulates the occlusion of sounds that have to travel through and around materials to reach the player. Instead of simply adjusting the volume of sounds that are occluded, this new model distorts the sounds according to the properties of the materials that the sound has to travel through. Eventually we intend to turn this feature on for all users, but at the moment it can be controlled by the convar ‘snd_occlusion’. Use ‘snd_occlusion 1’ to turn this new feature on. Feedback on it is welcome.
– Fixed a bug where some sounds would play multiple times when observing.

[ PERFECT WORLD ]
– Added a double-confirmation purchase UI for Perfect World users to help avoid accidental purchase clicks.

[ GAMEPLAY ]
As a pre-release beta, the following changes can be previewed offline with bots:
– Smoke grenades now have 10 unit radius when deciding if they are close enough to a fire to extinguish it. This helps reduce the number of ‘gaps’ between flames which could cause a smoke grenade to not detonate.
– Additional changes to smoke grenade detonation to make smoke/fire collision more predictable in areas with rough terrain / ledges / stairs.
[ MISC ]
– Users in China with a worldwide license will be prompted to play on Perfect World servers in China or outside of China.
– Those players can still manually set their launch parameters to bypass the prompt.
— “-worldwide” command line option will allow users in China to launch the worldwide version of the game to play on game servers outside of China.
— “-perfectworld” command line option will allow users outside of China to launch the “Perfect World” version of the game.
[ MISC ]
– Users in China can now install and launch CS:GO before purchasing a multiplayer license.
– CS:GO will launch in “Perfect World” mode by default for all users in China which, when the player has linked their Perfect World and CS:GO accounts, provides them with access to low-latency official game servers in China and ability to play with friends using the Perfect World CS:GO Launcher.
— “-worldwide” command line option will allow users in China to launch the worldwide version of the game to play on game servers outside of China.
— “-perfectworld” command line option will allow users outside of China to launch the “Perfect World” version of the game.
– Fixed a regression affecting operation of Windows community dedicated servers and community GOTV relays.
[ GAMEPLAY ]
– Fixed rare cases when smoke would not extinguish fire when it bounces between the flames.
– Reduced the height at which smoke grenades that bounce off of walls can extinguish flames.
– Fixed a bug where bullets could sometimes fail to penetrate player arms.

– Fixed gloves not appearing on certain custom maps that skip default equipment.

[ PERFECT WORLD ]
– Added UI to see current Perfect World account balance and add funds from the main menu.
– Added ability to purchase keys outside of case opening.

[ OPERATION HYDRA ]
– Operation Hydra passes are now 50% off.
– Fixed a rare case where Operation Hydra rewards were earned at reduced rate for accounts who maxed out their regular weekly XP.
– Fixed an issue where the Operation Hydra UI erroneously claimed that more stars would become available next week.
– Fixed an issue that caused some UI elements to show a gold operation coin for users with diamond coins.
– Removed weekly “Operation XP Exhausted” end-of-match warning for players with the maximum amount of event stars.

[ MISC ]
– Fixed some cases where footstep sounds would not be heard. Thanks to /u/Jambozx for his video demonstration this issue.
– Updated Mac-10 | Oceanic to have more randomness in the texture pattern.

[ PERFECT WORLD ]
– CS:GO is available today in mainland China through partnership with Perfect World.
– The CS:GO Launcher can be downloaded from the official Perfect World website at http://www.csgo.com.cn/download/index.html, or the game can be launched by Perfect World players using -perfectworld launch option after they have completed their Perfect World account registration.
– All Perfect World players with a valid registered Perfect World account who play CS:GO during the launch month will get a promotional gift package free of charge which will include the following limited-time exclusive items:
— one sticker from the “CS:GO Perfect World Sticker Capsule 1”
— one sticker from the “CS:GO Perfect World Sticker Capsule 2”

– Added support for asynchronously loading gift sender’s name for unacknowledged items received as a gift.
– Fixed an issue that prevented display items from getting unequipped in loadout.
– Applying a trade-restricted sticker will now also transfer its ‘Tradable After’ restriction to the weapon. If both the sticker and the weapon were sellable immediately on Steam Community Market then the weapon with the sticker will remain sellable immediately.

– For log-parsing, all disconnect messages will no longer contain a newline character.

[ AUDIO ]
– Turned on asynchronous audio mixing on for all users by default. This one-time change forces snd_mix_async to 1 and sets snd_mixahead to 0.025 which are the new default values. These changes eliminate some audio skips and makes audio play at a lower latency.

– Fixed an issue that caused buy menu to show incorrect price of molotovs/incendiary grenades after switching teams.

[ GOTV ]
This build contains significant changes in the game server and GOTV network delta packets processing to allow running two GOTV server instances with different delays, to allow correcting cameraman shots using a spectator connected to a small delay TV, and airing corrected shots on the longer delay TV. This client build is compatible with regular public 1.35.8.9 game servers.

New settings for the game server:
tv_delay1 allows to set a custom delay on TV1 server, with the developed scenario having TV1 delay be at least 3 seconds, and not more than TV0 delay configured with tv_delay setting.

tv_allow_camera_man_steamid2 allows configuring an additional interactive caster account, with the developed scenario connecting the main caster as a live spectator on the game server directly, and the additional interactive caster connect to TV1 server with a small delay.

tv_challenge_steam_iprange allows configuring a set of comma-separated IP ranges, clients connecting from those IP addresses will go through full Steam authentication even for GOTV connections, which is necessary for additional interactive caster authentication.

New settings for the game client:
cameraman_override setting controls when additional interactive caster camera is used to override the primary caster. Setting cameraman_override 1 on the additional interactive caster connected to TV1 will start overriding the primary interactive caster from the moment this setting is enabled in small delay TV timeline, and setting cameraman_override 0 will stop the override at the moment this command is issued in small delay TV timeline. With cameraman_override set to 1, the camera position of the additional interactive caster is transmitted to the TV1 server and overrides camera positions of the primary interactive caster. Consumers of TV0 GOTV data delayed enough for the overrides to take place will be receiving corrected camera positions.

cl_cameraman_override_messages setting controls whether UI message is displayed in spectate panel to indicate that the camera override is taking place. UI message can be disabled by setting cl_cameraman_override_messages 0.

Developed example scenario:
Server is configured with tv_delay1 3 seconds, and tv_delay 10 seconds, both TV0 and TV1 servers are active and additional interactive caster account connected to TV1 server.

Players X and Y on one team playing against players U and V on another team, players X and U go towards bombsite A, players Y and V go towards bombsite B. There’s no camera that main caster account can select to keep all players in view, so they select to broadcast POV of player X approaching bombsite A. When the round clock in the live game shows 0:56 player V unexpectedly eliminates player Y, and that action wasn’t observed by the main caster.

At this point, our additional interactive caster connected to a 3 second delay server still has their round clock showing 0:59 and all players alive. Additional interactive caster switches their camera POV to player V to broadcast the shot and executes their bind to set cameraman_override 1. Alternatively additional interactive caster can switch to in-eye POV of player Y who is still alive at 0:59 but will be eliminated shortly and execute their bind to set cameraman_override 1.

When TV1 round clock reaches 0:50, additional interactive caster may decide to relinquish broadcast control to the main live cameraman and should then execute their bind to set cameraman_override 0.

Broadcast for viewers connected to the 10 seconds delayed TV0, broadcast for viewers watching GOTV+ HTTP stream from TV0, and the GOTV demo file recorded on TV0, will contain POV of player X until 0:59, then selected camera shot of player V eliminating player Y until 0:53, and then continued POV of player X. Neither GOTV broadcast, nor GOTV demo file, will have additional interactive caster’s SteamID recorded, and the data should be seamless on the client, just as if the main caster could have switched to different broadcast POVs at 0:59 and 0:53 round clock times.

Alternatively, entire broadcast can be performed with the additional interactive caster on TV1 having cameraman_override 1, controlling camera POV all the time and never relinquishing control to the live interactive caster, while still being able to get information from live game either on the screen of live interactive caster or from game state integration data pushed from live interactive caster session. Keep in mind however that commentary sound is always recorded live from the main interactive caster voice channel and is not modified by additional interactive caster.
