Summary
This mod replaces the existing technology quotes in the game with fully voiced new ones.

About the Mod
I made this mod because I didn't like many of the tech quotes included in the original game. In my opinion the majority of them are either irrelevant, flippant or actually disparaging and I don't think a huge amount of effort was put into finding them. To address this I have found my own quotes and made sure they all abided by three conditions:
  • All quotes are positive about their subject
  • All quotes are roughly contemporaneous
  • All quotes are from actual people rather than fictional characters
N.B. Finding good quotes took ages so I've stuck to just having one per technology. Also some of the quotes have been edited for brevity or to simplify punctuation and the future tech quote has been replaced by a blank one in order to spare the player from hearing it over and over again at the end of the game.

Known issues
  • The new audio will play again when the advisor pops up. I recommend going into Game Options->Game->Advisor and setting her to "disabled."
  • The same thing can happen if another window pops up before the tech completed one e.g. a civic/tech boost. Obviously if you know of a workaround please let me know.

I totally agree with you on the flippancy of the quotes. You've just spent ages discovering something for Sean Bean to say "Well, this technology practically caused the end of humanity. And in a way, for discovering this tech, you are partly to blame."

I don't feel that quote for Telecommunications is that relevant,as it has more to do with tactical submarines than anything else. Granted, that's only thing you unlock with that tech, but I'd prefer if the quote was about, you know, telecommunications.
