Key Features:
  • Real-time interactive particle simulation.
Use your mouse to bash the cursor particles into the water and create sparkly effects!

Featuring a live-generated version of the Plexus effect (like the plugin for After Effects) and runs it efficiently on the CPU using optimized code.

This is NOT a video. It's an actual simulation of what you see (and hear) on the screen!

  • Fully spatialized/binaural 3D sound with procedurally animated positioning.

Listen to calming waves and rain against the backdrop of a surreal and thunderous soundscape that moves around your head. You can hear when the sounds are above you, behind you, in front of you, etc. Great for relaxation!

  • Multiple skies to choose from.
Pick the one that suits your mood and let your imagination run free!

  • Your mouse is like a wave-maker that makes water noises as you fling it around the screen. The sound it makes changes based on how fast you move it, where it is on the screen, and is fully 3D.

  • Weather effects! Rain, fog, volumetric fog, and... SHOOTING STARS!

  • Simulation speed (time scale) options. Particles going too fast? Doesn't fit your calm mood?
    Adjust the speed manually!

  • Customized title text! You can set this to your name, or whatever else you want.
You can even replace it automatically to show the current time from the options panel.

  • Lots of settings and features to customize so you can make it your own.
Changes are saved automatically so if/when you restart, you're back where you left off!

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions):

How do I customize the wallpaper? Sound volume, background sky, etc...

There's a transparent gear icon on the top-right of the wallpaper. Hover your mouse over it and it will light up green. Clicking this will toggle the options panel which contains all the settings you can play with. Note that there are multiple tabs organizing similar options and that setting are saved automatically so you don't need to adjust them next time you load the wallpaper. Watch the video to see how this works.

Look at this image for reference: LINK!

I want to turn of the mouse particles and/or change the background display.

The main tab has a checkbox for the mouse, as well as arrow keys to change the sky.

This wallpaper is eating up my CPU and/or it's lagging! What do I do?

For lower-end computers, there are several performance options that can be tweaked. Try changing some of the settings in the performance tab (turn off post-processing, lower the target FPS, etc.). The greatest consumption will come from the comet particles, main fog, and water refraction. Turning these off should help a lot if you experience performance issues.

Clicking the gear icon doesn't open up the options panel. How do I get it to work?

Exit out of Wallpaper Engine completely and start it again. It should work after that. I'm not sure what causes this...
