Description
On a late afternoon this Saturday (19th August 1961), you have just backed onto a rake of coaches brought up from London via the Newcastle and Carlisle line with A2 No. 60525 A.H Peppercorn. There is an eclectic mixture of Gresley and Thompson coach designs in your train, provided from what was available earlier today at Hornsey!

This is the first part of two scenarios involving some of the Matrix trains coach packs. It's a shame that these excellent coaches don't seem to appear in workshop scenarios too often, so I've put together this semi fictional two parter to somwhat rectify this.

You will need:
Western Lines of Scotland
Weardale & Teesdale network
Matrix trains Gresley coaches 01 02 03
Thompson 01 02
Stanier PIII's 01 02 03 04
Jinty 3F pack
6MT Clan pack
Peppercorn A2 pack & Bossman games BR A2 pack
Digital traction standard 2MT
9F pack
Duchess pack (BR unstreamlined version)

Note: For those interested in a updated 'Summer of '29' scenario, I will be taking it down from the workshop so I can work on it as soon as the early Collett coaches are out.

If you would like to rate the route down please provide feedback on why you chose to do so - I can't improve unless you tell me what needs correcting.

Ah I will check that out, and it's interesting to that you mention graphical glitches, as the guy behind Blastpipe said that he didn't use the P3s for the Coronation as they somehow looked odd.

We need a pack like the A2 got, for the A1, A3, both Duchesses and a few other locos, either from DTG and Partners or from SSS.

Oh, just to add: some of his earlier releases on the marketplace might be compatible without swapping, but his later releases have been changed to a new developer folder after users found it caused graphical issues.

You should be able to swap it with RW tools quite easily - but I understand your sentiments, a caveat of the workshop system unfortunately.

Victorian reskins are great; it's a shame that early 20th century/ late 19th century content is sorely lacking in train simulator.

I wonder if that will work with the old sets sold by gordon himself on matrixtrains, as I have those.

So I have most, save the Blue grey variants and the Thompson Corridors.

Don't like the idea of buying them all over again, but good for him to come on steam though, as these coaches are sorely needed.

Btw just for checking purposes is the folder structure for the Gresleys still "Assets\GordonMack\LNER-TeakCorr"?
And the P3's still "Assets\GordonMack\LMS_P3"?

Btw if you're interested Victorian Reskins and Blastpipe Productions have reskins of the Duchess, both into BR Crimson and LMS Crimson. The latter even have a blue reskin for the streamlined Duchess.
Although that should actually be a Princess Royal.....but those are pretty much the same.....;)

Thanks, sorry for the late reply. Unfortuntley it might be a while till the next scenario as I am working on making my first set of custom assets for my next route project - I'll definitely use the Matrix packs as they are very beautiful :)

Nice scenario. I swapped some coaching stock because I do not own all of Gordon's packs (yet). Indeed it is a shame that these coaches are not used more often. Unfortunately I cannot cmplete the scenario because I am having severe graphics problems starting a few miles behind the 'Welcome to Scotland' sign, probably due to my somewhat outdated graphics card. Nevertheless, keep them coming Lee and please use the Matrix packs as much as you can :)
