N.S29 Woking Yard Old Sleepers plus Mainline Activity

Description
Route: Portsmouth Direct Line
Duration: 20 minutes
Scenario: Standard

Woking - a major junction, and yard on the London to Bournemouth mainline, where the Portsmouth line diverges.

A Winter Sunday in the 1980s, and this Sunday lots of old wooden sleepers need removing from Aldershot, as part of a major track upgrade.

You are in charge of a double headed Class 33, with wagons full of old sleepers heading to Woking, passing freight trains with empy wagons going to Aldershot to be filled.

You start just out of Aldershot, just before you cross the main London to Bournemouth line. You then pick up a driver at Brookwood, then to Woking. You will then reverse your consist across all lines, to eventually stop at Woking Aggregates, where the sleepers will be removed, and taken away by truck to landscape contractors or preserved railways.

Lots of action on all lines.

I have improved the scenery from the start to Brookwood, and added a lot of extra activity along the line for added realism.

DLC required besides route:
BR Blue Diesel Electric pack

I hope you enjoy this, my second Woking Yard scenario.

My next one will be Class 73s utilising both their diesel and electric capabilities, in and around Woking in Winter again.

Hello pjohnandlyns. Yes an early one - after I had learned quite a bit quickly! This is still one of my favourites. Great it is still going strong. You have prompted me to create a new collection that will include this one, and other older ones on this route. Cheers.
