Allows to snap props to buildings and elevated roads - just like in asset editor!

This mod does the same job as Tree Snapping, but for props.

This mod won't break your save games, and can be safely disabled at any time. But without it enabled, prop Y-positions will fall back to terrain level.

This mod provides an option 'Don't update prop Y coordinate on terrain modification' (enabled by default). It it's enabled, this mod will prevent trees from hiding under terrain when you elevate terrain. If you want to lower terrain and want all trees load with it, disable the option. If you want to completely decouple prop Y coordinate from terrain modification and allow props to even submerge, enable 'Allow prop to submerge' option as well.

Quite obviously, this mod requires Prop Anarchy mod.

Use More Beautification to access props menu.
If you want to place props outside of city's borders, use my Cross The Line mod.

This mod uses awesome detours C# library[] by cope. Without it, this mod would've been impossible to make.

UPDATE 3 (8/13/2017)
Added: 'Allow prop to submerge' option ('Don't update prop Y coordinate on terrain modification' must be enabled as well for it to work)
Fixed: Don't update prop Y coordinate option now mentions prop and not tree

In that mod's options, only select "Anarchy ON by Default" -- See Image []

AS SOON AS THE GAME LOADS turn OFF Prop & Tree Anarchy using shortcut key bind (default Alt + P).

Then, when you do want to use anarchy to place trees or props wherever you like, simply turn it on using the key bind, place what you want, then turn anarchy back off using the same key bind.

:stop: hey all, i found out this mod is causing rocks and tree logs to be on roads after you've placed one. Not prop anarchy nor road anarchy is causing this weird bug when I had them turned off

hello dear modder. I have a big one question jaja, Yesterday was my first time using this mod and I tried to set a prop over a build but does not work, the prop set down to the ground. am I doing something wrong?

1. Props submerging after subscribing to PS
2. Props like hedges being not selectable
3. Props disappearing at low camera angle (camera just above the ground)

ALL of the above is solved with Move It!:
1. Zoom out
2. Enable Move It! > Marquee Selection > leave only Props
3. drag around the whole map to select all props
4. In MoveIt toolbox > Align > To terrain height

Thanks guys for trying to help, but none of what you wrote is actually solving the problem. Move IT has nothing to do with it, no option there.

@LemonsterOG: that doesn't relate to what I'm saying. I may have a map done with no P.S. and the moment I install it, all props will hide below the terrain.

On top of all that, P.S. is causing props to disappear at low camera angle - a problem that does not exist when I uninstall P.S.

All that said - I really like what the mod is supposed to do, but it comes at such cost, that it makes no sense to use it.

That may be MoveIt submerging your props. I believe there is a checkbox in the MoveIt settings to stop props from going below grade.

@vvilku -- Very, very few mods should be used when map making to avoid any issues, immediately after publishing or in the future. Some will break the map editor, some can actually break your map entirely and others may be broken after a game/mod update. Most mods that can be used in the map editor specifically mention so in the mod description.

Basically, you want to create maps as vanilla as possible, with the exception of a few props and trees (placed without mod assistance), bridges, intersections (best if vanilla) and maybe some workshop networks (roads).

Here are some mod collections that can safely be used in the map editor:

It's been years, since this mod submerges all props, yet no fix for it so far.
I created a map some time ago with this mode enabled, and realised after miking the whole map, that other players who don't have this mod can't see the detailing I've done, as it's all under ground.

I'm building a city now and wanted to use Ploppable Asphalt but it needs this mod to enable changing the elevation of decals. So I subscribed to Prop Snapping, and guess what - ALL my props are under ground again.

Plus, this mod causes props to clip at low angles, even when zoomed in.

Will there ever be a fix?
