This is the Deathstalker Scorpion theme for the Scorpion M249s. I've also made a brown variant based on Sand Scorpions.

For these skins I wanted to tie in a military vehicle theme with something organic. After a bit of ideation I felt the Scorpion theme was aligning well with the
combination of military elements and organic shapes. It gelled both conceptually and visually - the idea of hard shell carapace over softer material and patterns felt solid so I explored various ways to do this, from sand decay to patterns and materials inspired by camouflaged vehicles.

The barrel pattern was inspired by grey/green camouflage netting applied to vehicles and structures, combined with a streaky desert camo type pattern, metal grates and reinforced plating.

Having a hard carapace over the softer looking materials seemed to be really cohesive and translate well from reality.









I plan to grow this into a collection so stay tuned!
