How to gain Perk Points using Console in Fallout 4
By Angry Bajur 😡🦡
A console command for adding perk points. To my knowledge, this does not cause any glitches, but just to be safe, limit how many points you give yourself.

Adding Perk Points
Just for those who are unfamiliar, this command must be typed into the in-game console. To open the in-game console, press the ~ key. On most English keyboards, it is in the top left corner of the keyboard, below the ESC key, above the TAB key and next to the 1 key. Just press ~ in-game, and the console will open.

This console command will allow you to give your character as many perk points as you want, so that you can level up every skill while still playing somewhat legitimately.

CGF "Game.AddPerkPoints" <int> – Adds the specified number of Perk Points, they can be spent in the standard perk chart.

Make sure that you type the command in exactly as it is shown (CGF "Game.AddPerkPoints"), followed by the number of perk points you want to add, otherwise it probably won't work. Also, I suggest not adding more than 99 points at a time. I've never tried more than that, but I doubt that it leads to anything good.

If anyone is still having trouble with this, just highlight the following command, copy it, then, when you have the console open in game, hit ctrl + v.

CGF "Game.AddPerkPoints" 99

For those who said cgf doesn't work, it needs to be in ALL CAPS - CGF

Awesome find. Still working with all DLC / no mods. Made fixing a screwup on my character much easier.

I'm sorry, I genuinely don't know why it isn't working for you. It seems like some copies of the game just don't accept the command.

so because this doesnt work for me i was forced to use player.addperk (perk id) individually and before you say "did you type it in right" its not just that i typed it in right but the game said Script Command "cgf" not found (for the record the console lower cased it but it was actually upper cased when i typed it) i even added the quotation marks and upper cased the G, A, P, P and it still never worked but adding the perks individually did work

Perfect. Took me a few attempts to realise I had to include CGF and the quotation marks.
I've put over a thousand hours into this game and in new plays I just find having to waste level ups on lockpick and hacking perks is so boring! Now I can skip that, this should be a more fun play through, thanks to you! <3

I think the problem that people are facing with this command is that they wanted this for Skyrim as thats what they googled (at least thats what happened to me) and google saw 'add perk points'. Sadly I don't play Fallout 4 so I cannot tell you if this code works as intended

I copied the command exactly and got the same "Script command "CGF" not found" that a lot of other people got.
