*The original author of the Blastcore mod is Opticalsnare. He didn't update Blastcore more than a year. I could not find information about Blastcore license, I tried and could not contact Opticalsnare via Bohemia Interactive forum to ask for permission to modify it. Opticalsnare, if you read this and you don't like what I have done, please contact me via Steam and mod will be removed from Steam Workshop.

Blastcore is one of the best mods ever made for Arma series and it is a big loss for a lot of Arma players. Hope Opticalsnare return to continue his work on Blastcore mod series.


This version is standalone. You should not run Blastcore Edited (standalone) together with Blastcore Edited (a fix version). You don't need any other mods to run.

Set particles quality on High.

Dependencies: none

This mod is based on Blastcore: Phoenix with edits taken from Blastcore: Phoenix 2 and Arma 3 vanilla effects. This version fixes a lot of errors caused by Arma 3 updates and changes some of the effects. I have put a lot of work in it (more than a year), but not as much as Opticalsnare, of course.

You download this mod AS IS. Some effects may be broken or don't work at all. Test it on vanilla only. Effects may be broken with RHS mods or any other mods that uses custom or edited effects. Feel free to contact me if you find errors.

@Fluffy. Yeah, thanks, I had to unsubscribe from the other Blastcore. Even though it wasnt active, the ACE tracers .pbo was still being loaded. Doing that helped. Thanks again

@sean.conover: Do you use ACE/ACE Tracers? Because they make the tank round looks like a huge ball.

Can anyone explain to me why my tank rounds are huge balls of light? Even vanilla tanks suffer form this

Could be interesting however you never explain what this mod does!!! I assume it has something to do with artillery or just the explosion effects already in the game or something else entirely???

should blastcore have a very noticeable effect on frames? really enjoy this mod but when i run it i get large stutters, im able to run normal arma 3 on hihgh/very high settings

Can I play with this mod on normal servers like King of the Hill or is this really just for servers that have this enabled?

Found a "Bug". If Blastcore is active, the Gryphon Jet from the Jets DLC has a weird model/texture bug. But all in all the Mod is great!

Great Mod, i love it. Is there a Mod that gives the 120mm Canon a bigger/better "fireball" when a Tank is shooting? Like it was for exampel in the Blastcore for Arma2 OA? This is one of the things that i miss in Arma 3. The Muzzle fire/blast by the Tanks is more smoke than fire, speciali during the day. In the evening/night with this Blastcore it looks great, but i miss it during the days.

Any help or suggestions?
