*The original author of the Blastcore mod is Opticalsnare. He didn't update Blastcore more than a year. I could not find information about Blastcore license, I tried and could not contact Opticalsnare via Bohemia Interactive forum to ask for permission to modify it. Opticalsnare, if you read this and you don't like what I have done, please contact me via Steam and mod will be removed from Steam Workshop.

Blastcore is one of the best mods ever made for Arma series and it is a big loss for a lot of Arma players. Hope Opticalsnare return to continue his work on Blastcore mod series.


This version is standalone. You should not run Blastcore Edited (standalone) together with Blastcore Edited (a fix version). You don't need any other mods to run.

Set particles quality on High.

Dependencies: none

This mod is based on Blastcore: Phoenix with edits taken from Blastcore: Phoenix 2 and Arma 3 vanilla effects. This version fixes a lot of errors caused by Arma 3 updates and changes some of the effects. I have put a lot of work in it (more than a year), but not as much as Opticalsnare, of course.

You download this mod AS IS. Some effects may be broken or don't work at all. Test it on vanilla only. Effects may be broken with RHS mods or any other mods that uses custom or edited effects. Feel free to contact me if you find errors.

Original author of Blastcore: Phoenix and Blastcore: Phoenix 2 is Opticalsnare.

Okay, cool description, I guess. Nice knowing the entire history and life story of the mod. But what does it ACTUALLY DO?

I have been using this mod for several years. I think this is the best version of Blastcore which I have try, However, the only bug prevents this mod from being perfect. When you shoot from a tank and the shell (120 mm) hits the vegetation or foliage of trees, it is visually shown as if the shell hits the ground. The player sees a large splash of ground and cloud of dust. If the mod is not dead, then the author please fix it!

Im having a issue where Im loading a mission file on to my server and it says im missing download able content Blastcore_VEP or something around those lines I have already tried to reinstall it on the server twice no solution so far

@Marcel Davis It's not stable on servers at all. My server is shitting itself trying to load a mission with blastcore in it
Is this mod "stable"? I reall loved in A2 (i think) and would really like to add it to our clan server but it would be hard to convince my mates to use it when there are bugs like the vehicle smoke not intercepting as good anymore. Do others use that mod in "production"? Have you noticed any issues?

I'm having an awful bug where the bullets appear as gigantic glowing orbs. These shots were fired out of a vanilla vehicle but it has happened with RHS as well.

How do I remove the incendiary fx? Sometimes I hit bullets in the ground and it starts a HUGE fire.
