Description
I was alway bugged by how the Ancient Nord Armor you get for completing the Companions Quest Line SUCKED. It's sh** compared to most heavy armor out there and that for all that running around, saving the Companions and all.
Finally, i chose to fix this.

________________________________________________________
You do all this running around, you slay the Glenmoril Witches single-handedly, you save the Companions, reforge Wuthraad, and so on and so forth. What is the reward? The Skyforge is powered up - now you can forge:

really bad armor.

By this point in the game, almost every bandit wears better armor than this. Even though it is sooooo hard to get.

So i chose to fix this.

I've simply modified the stats of the armor, as far as rating and value goes. Stats are now somewhere between orcish and ebony armor. So it isn't overpowered now, but worth the effort of smithing it and more viable mid- to endgame. Before, your armor was worth about the same as fur armour... Go figure.

Rate and subscribe if this has also bugged you.

Compatibility:

Should work with almost every mod out there, since it only modifies the stats of the vanilla set and every armour that uses the same template.

Known Issues:
The same as the vanilla armour, if any.

Wherever you find the regular "Ancient Nord Armor" pieces, for example Forelhost. And you can craft it after completing the Companions Questline. Only the stats on the vanilla armor have been changed.

When you click on Library, there is a "tools" section. In there you should find all sorts of stuff, but also the Skyrim Creation Kit.

where do you find the creation kit

This mod was easy to create. You can change the stats yourself via the Creation kit. Just raise the base armor points to where you would like them.

Sorry, but this is a stat mod. It doesn't change anything about the looks. And I'm simply not good enough to edit the meshes and textures of this armor.
