A simple mod that sets the prices of techs to zero.

Version (1.1) - Added "priority" : 99 to the metadata file so that this mod gets loaded last (to hopefuly help with some compatability with other mods).

Remember though this mod changes the BASE techs cost. If another mod totally changes what techs are available (like 'disables' the default techs and then adds in new ones that are named the same) this will not have an effect on them.

@Star-X Interesting idea, but I'm not into the idea of making multiple different mods for these little changes. If in singleplayer you could just admin add the copper/silver/gold into your inventory. Modding starbound is quite simple if you even want to give it a shot yourself.

Personally - Having ores highlighted and free matter manipulator upgrades (for a stronger mm) makes getting resources easier early on (and thus making the quest easy to do). Perhaps taking a look for other mods to enhance your gameplay early on would be helpful.

The mods I've thrown up on the workshop are changes I felt needed to be done to the core game (yeah I'm not a fan of the 'tech cards' or 'manipulator modules' you have to grind / rng for at the start of the game).

Any chance of making a version in which the techs still cost tech cards, but the initial quest to unlock them requires 0 copper, silver, and gold bars?

@DogeStudios Yep, by clicking on the '+ Subscribe' button on the page steam will download the mod automatically. It might take a try or two of starting up / closing starbound for it to actually download and be good to go, but its rather simple once you get used to it.

You just have to be careful about mods that could corrupt your save after you unsubscribe from them (or just losing those mod-added items).
