Ultrawide 21:9 Aspect Ratio Overlay

You probably game on an ultrawide monitor, wouldn't it be cool if you could make movies that filled up the whole screen?

So, I went ahead and recreated my 21:9 overlay from scratch. This overlay does exactly what it says on the tin... and only what it says on the tin. The texture file itself is at a resolution of 64 x 4096, so it's only sharp and crisp where it needs to be. And at a size of just 256 KB (compared to the ridiculous 8 MB that the old overlay was), it should be a much faster download and it should be far less taxing on performance!

Other aspect ratio overlays I've created...
> 4:3 (Standard)
> 23.5:1 (Cinematic)

Instructions...
1. Create an Effects track if one doesn't already exist for your project
2. Right-click on the Effects track and select Add Clip to Track to... well, you know
3. Click on Material Overlay Effect
4. Right-click on the newly-created clip and select Show in Element Viewer
5. Next to material, select that elipsis button next to the text box
6. Type in "mdeltax/21-9" in the Filter box and make sure either All Mods or workshop are selected
7. Select the VMT file listed as "overlays/mdeltax/21-9.vmt"

Includes:
overlays\mdeltax\21-9.vmt

@BrandyBuizel I'll definitely create a 1:1 Aspect Ratio overlay if and when I get into the mood of creating content for SFM again.

@MAX just a thought(I would do it myself if I understood even a little python) but could you make a 1:1 aspect ratio overlay file? It probably sounds useless and impractible, but it would help very much with 360 degree video in the SFM. After rendering a cubmap in SFM you need to crop all the videos anyway and sometimes you don't necessarily create the angle you want because you can only work in a 16:9 ratio(4:3 kind of helps, not much).
A square aspect ratio overlay would also make each frame a smaller file size because it renders the black bars and ignores what lies behind it and would subsequently reduce massive render-times for VR video(6 simulataneous cameras, eek).

I know it's a pretty niche category of SFM use, but I've seen you made 3 already. Maybe the math for 1:1 will be easy enough for you to crank out.

@episoder I originally made them as large as they are because I wanted it to be perfectly sharp at the exact ratio I wanted. Because VTF files only allow resolutions of 256, 512, 1024, 2048, etc, I was concerned that this would have a negative impact on both. As I'm so used to using SFM on my gaming rig, it never occured to me to optimize it, so I simply made them as large as VTFEdit could handle. I am a graphics fanatic, and I care very little for low-resolution textures for close-up things, so that also played a part.

But I've read your comment, so I've reduced the size of the image itself and I've also played with the settings for the VMT and VTF file. I've managed to retain that sharpness and ratio that I so desperately crave while reducing the file size to ¼ of its original size. However, it's a little buggy right now, so it'll be a little while before I update this mod with it.
