MIB: Men In Boxes

The location of the elusive boxmen scattered through the game.

The Men In Boxes are Easter eggs hidden throughout Metal Gear Rising, referencing Snake's original method of disguise.This guide will show you how all five MIB locations, your reward for finding all 5, and the Achievement, "Peekaboo". (20G on Xbox, Bronze Trophy on PlayStation)

MIB: Chapter 1

Get to the catwalk before the Mistral fight:
Find the gun camera with rails around it, right in front of the door to the fight. Jump into the rails on top of the containers:
Drop down to the bottom. If you see an orange item box, you're going the right way. Just go down that hallway until you find a tall box:
Slice it, and get your progress started. If this is you first MIB, Kevin should Codec in complimenting the cyborgs hiding spot, wondering where he learned it from.

MIB: Chapter 2

Get to the section where you have to stealth past 3 Mastiff (gorilla looking) UGs. Looks like this:
Kill them all, and climb these boxes towards the middle of the room:
Once you've gotten up, jump to the other railing. There should be a hole at the end of the railing. It has a Repair Nanopaste on it, should look like this:
Once you've dropped down past it, (you should have picked up the Nanopaste) look at your Soliton Rader. The room should be circular with a section that you could walk into in the middle. Cut the door and walk in the room and find the box: (If you have trouble finding it, look where I am on the Soliton Radar)
Slice the tall box and continue the progress. If this is your second MIB, Kevin should not Codec in.

MIB: Chapter 3

After the Boris Codec call, you should encounter 2 Gekko's jumping through the window, supported by Dwarf Gekkos:
Once you've killed them, open the next door.
You're supposed to go this way...
But we're going this way:
Out next MIB is just around the corner in the tall box:
Slice it to continue your progress. If this is your third MIB, Kevin should Codec in, telling you a rumor about how the MIB's come from Area 51.

MIB: Chapter 4

After the freight elevator, you should see a stack of containers:
Get to the top. You should see a large, open vent:
Ninja Run in and find the tall box as always:
Slice it to continue your progress. If this is your fourth MIB, Kevin should not Codec in.

Final MIB: Chapter 7

The final MIB in the final level. Sounds about right. Once you see a collapsed Blade Wolf, stop:
Turn around:
Run to the back of the green container:
Ninja Run so you get on top of it:
Go forward and fall down the the glorious sight of the final tall box:
Slice it and finish your progress. If this is your final MIB found, Kevin will Codec in, asking if we could just forget all of this.

Bonus Section: HF Wooden Sword

Now that you've found (and hopefully just left alone) all five MIBs, what is your reward?
Why none other than the legendary-
Wait. Are you serious. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stick.
Not just any stick however! This stick, instead of killing, allows you to beat your your foes with this Malicious Mahogany. This Birch Brutalizer. This Wooden Wraith. This... Uh... I don't have anymore viscious wood puns. Essentially, instead of killing, you literally beat the daylight out of the target. They just sorta, fall over... and stop moving... At this point, you can switch swords and still kill the guy. Then again, by knocking someone out, you get bonus points for being an aggressive pacifist. And before you ask, yes, you can beat a UG UNCONSCIOUS. It's not recommended to use this during boss battles, as you can't perform Blade Mode prompts with the wooden sword. Instead of upgrading the swords damage, you downgrade it. Once it's at minimum, it does about a tenth of the damage of the HF Blade... Unupgraded.
TL;DR, It's the sword masochits use.

Finale: Tips and End

• To cut the boxes, you'll probably need to use Blade Mode.
• You can find these guys in any order.
•If you get past a hard fight and can't heal but a MIB is nearby, just be happy he's willing to let you Zandatsu him.
•Try to get the 2nd or 1st MIB last. To get your HF Wooden Sword and the "Peekaboo" achievement, you need to finish a mission. Both the 2nd and 1st MIB's are already pretty close to the end of their respective missions, while the others are found around the mid point.
•If you're having trouble figuring out where I am, check the Soliton Radar in the screenshots or look up a video guide.
•Wear the Mariachi Uniform at all times for the highest chance of Hilarious Homicide.
•Yes I have to play MGR in a 800x600. No I do not have a very good computer.
